A Pint and a spoon.

I've been having a decent day. I have an extra day off at work, my boyfriend is being a sweetie pie. But I'm feeling like crap. So I'm drowning my sorrows in a pint of Oreo Ice Cream that was on sale.

What do you do to make you feel better, when you're down?

Can I have some ice cream? I like to meditate. Now meditation is no music, no scented candles, nothing. People thing you need THINGS in order to meditate, but if you are away from home, how do you calm yourself, how do you meditate when you don't have music or when you are around a lot of noise? That's one of the things you can do. Playing video games is another way, but playing online is a risk with games such as Lost Planet. If I'm not doing good it will set me in a bad mood.

Talking and venting is a great way. As a ninja if I'm stressed, they say I would just take my life....that's not helping. I like to work out. I don't have no gym stuff so I do things like sparing on trees (yeah they hurt) and working out my depression and my anger. Talking to the ladies is another great example for me too. I love talking to girls and hitting on them. Another thing is getting away from my troubles for awhile.

There are so many things we can do to suppress life, but suppressing it gives us the time to solve it.

Sorry. I just ate the last of it. I'm gonna feel bad about that, tomorrow

Usually I'd play DDR and space out as I burn calories, but my dance pad has gone piff, and I'm planning on selling my PS2. I'd go for a walk, but it's 9:30 at night. Crafting makes me feel good, but I'm out of ideas (I just repainted an endtable on sunday), and I'm not in the mood to knit, or cook.

    Ugh. So much stress.

    Hey, OP.

I like the OP.  Very truthful, honest person.

Well, I do not eat ice cream. I do not drink like pop either.  But for stress I exercise.  I type here, like I am doing now.  It helps!!

I just try to have fun.  When I get burnt out with work and school, I hang out with real life friends.  I come here during work and just talk with people, sort of.  I like MMORPG. MAKE NO DOUBT:  MMORPG does N O T like me.

Anyway, I am just chilling in SWG now in a catina, relaxing, afk and obviously typing now. LOL>

My comfort stuff is a bit more addictive than ice cream.  Something alcoholic, something to smoke, and one of the strange plot twist mind screw movies you have to watch a few times to appreciate.  Jacobs ladder, vanilla sky, being john malcovich, brazil, 12 monkeys, or something along those lines.  Sure fire way to get your mind off what you are thinking about.

Nothing beats a nice cold brewski or 10 to cheer me up.

qft I also like whiskey neat.

  • I usually get hyped up and aggressive, drown myself in adrenaline. When I cool off I relax naturally, helps get it out of my system. So, running, riding a bike, playing a fast paced videogame help.

Also, doing something requiring me to focus often helps, to the point that I focus so hard on. I like to shoot my crossbow or bow in my backyard, I hit a zen point where all I'm thinking about is the act of archery, and forget about everything else.

Oh, good choice of movies there! Especially the Gilliam ones. Momento and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind could be added to the list mind twisters.
