This game is so gonna wipe the floor with all other mmorpgs. I'm going chaos! CHAOS WARRIOR!
This game looks so awesome, I'm most looking forward to the awesome pvp and capturing land, since pvp in WoW was absolutely useless.
this game will be my favorite mmorpg...EVER!

Amazing what a little research will do. And that's why these forums are filled with rambling nonsensical arguments between a hand full of childish uninformed a**holes.
and also to state that you either love it or hate it at this point is absurd.. one can't really know if they love or hate a game if they haven't played it; be careful because you could waste your money if you don't do some research once theres more people who have played it and theres no NDA on a beta. Don't let the hype get you, i've made the mistake before, riding on all thats supposed to or is said to be good about a game and finding it unfinished.
You got the biggest part of the cake. Untill you can fully read up on the game from reviews, magazines, player opinions or after testing it, simply just keep following up on the game. If it at anytime starts to sound like something else which you don't like, avoid it.

*sigh* Isn't that always the way. I remember before WOW came out all the trash talk about how crap a game it was and EQ2 was gonna blow it out of the water cause of the kiddy looking graphics and simplified gameplay. Thanks for the flashback!

I'll tell you what makes me anticipate WAR so much... its all the classes are great.
Say you look at a game that's coming and you say, "wow, I like the look of rogues. I'm gonna buy it." And you do and you play rogue and love it. BUT that's all you like.
I look at WAR and one day I want to be Chaos chosen 'coz they look fantastic and I've never been a warrior before or played on the "bad guys" side. The next day, I start to think I might like to play my more usual ranged caster, and think ok, its got to be the Chaos Magus.
Aother day I am back to Chaos chosen, then I think how cool would it be to be a dwarf engineer (I'm an engineer in RL) and make those excellent guns and turrets on the battlefield... but my god the Hammerer looks fantastic

Tere is just so much to choose from and all the choices are fantastic. That's why WAR is THE game to lead them all

Oh sure, I had some fun in WOW, but it has to be one of the best games I've ever played...... until level 60 (or 70 now)..... then they stuck this horrid timesink of an endgame which involves grinding up faction points, collecting multiple resistance sets, and running the same instance over and over and over..... and then an expansion comes out and we rinse and repeat....

Oh yes, edit to stay on topic..... I think WAR is going to be a good game, but I'm not going to get my hopes too far up until I get a chance to try it myself....

LOL! Yesterday you said Aion would be the best... What's up with that? Just goes to show you never to judge a game before reading about it. Theres probably alot more like you.
Unless you plan on convincing all the PvE players that currently dominate the market to switch to PvP, it will not rule the market. What it will provide is a haven for all the FPS-MMO players to have their cake and eat it too.
May also help PvE MMO's out there to focus on what they should be, making a good PvE game, rather than listening to PvP whiner's and then implementing a half-assed version of PvP. I know WAR will offer PvE as well, but from what I hear it will not be its focus. Good for PvPer's who like WAR, bad for PvEer's who like the WAR setting.
Of couse as always, this is my opinion.
I'm sure quite a few PvErs will move to WAR from say WoW simply coz they wanna try something new. There will be PvE in WAR aswell, and when friends move you move with them. Just my guess ofc and that said... while I have no doubt WAR will be a success it will be nowhere near 8.5mil subs ofc.

Ohh I have no doubt WAR will be a success, if all goes well. I am sure some PvEers will cross over and find it to be very enjoyable. Hell I may even try it at some point, but until I hear more focus about the PvE than the PvP I don't think I will be too overly excited about it.
Maybe its just me and my bad experiences with PvP, but when I think of the word "PvP" I think of "Grief" or "Gank". I get "Ganked" enough as it is at work, I don't feel like getting "Ganked" in a game that is supposed to entertain and relax me. But that's me, and thats why I tend to play PvE, cooperative games. If I wanted PvP, I'd go back to UT or BF2, and if I wanted PvP in the ultimate fantasy setting, then I suppose I'd play WAR.
I already begin to feel sorry for the real warhammer fans out there..!
this game appels directly to wow players, and im not supprised if it ends up with the same community.
Certainly looks like it, although the game is made in a way that it will appeal to fans of said game. You only have to watch a video to see that.
The game to rule them all? Ha! LoTRO claimed that and it flopped really hard. Don't hold your breath.
I just hope its a good game. The community will probably be fine, the real WH players will be able to find eachother. The WoW burnouts may not all be assholes, or may have been, but now share a need with other gamers. I doubt that this game will be full of jerks on your side because RvR makes you want to have friends...bad.
I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad, The dreams in which I'm dieing are the best I've ever had.
