gave it another try, my professional opinion

I went in with the mindset of "this is a new game, a new fresh game, I am a new player in a new game". Started out in the station, did some very easy follow the way points, kill and return missions. Then I went into space and did the same things. I felt pretty darn powerful up there, felt like I was king.
Then at lvl 5 Bobofett sent me planet side right down to Tatooine. I had chosen Ahazi because a friend still plays there and she said the population was rather good. Also when I got to choose a server, it says "VERY HEAVY" on the population stats.
I was dropped off right in front of the starport right into a crowd of AFK dancers with random names spamming the area with adverts to purchase credits from various game websites. Hon solo, who didnt seem to mind that I had chosen to side with empire back on the station, helped me find some parts to make a speeder. As I was salvaging somthing from a broken speeder bike, he says to me" okay kid, now we just need to get a chassis for the speeder. I am thinking, DUH, whats this right here? So anyway, I walk past some friendly sand people who didnt seem to mind me taking their salvaged speeder. I would have prefered to fix the speeder bike I just had in front of me but whatever.
I decided to ignore the next bunch of follow the way point and kill quests to do some exploring of my own. I went into the starport and someone offered to sell me a Yoda Hologram, was not interested. I flew to other places like Bestine, Coronet, Dantooine Imp outpost, Dathomir Mining outpost. Okay, at this point I was just checking out my old hang outs but I will not complain that they are now void of players, this is a new game ! I wanted to go to Mustafar but it says I did not qualify. I guess Mustafar is more dangerous than Dathomir.
I went back to Tatooine to do some missions from the terminals. I got to blow up some slaver camps and kills some animals. Then I got one for killing those friendly sand people. Oh, this time they were not so friendly. Infact they were mad and two of them kept chasing me and even though I was FAR out of range, yet they still managed to shoot me through the sand dunes, I thought I had lost them.
Ive got a few more days, I suppose I need to group up if I can find someone.... Do I really want to ? It would have been more fun for me if I could have actualy lost those sand people and if they could not shoot through the dunes like that. To me that just seems wrong....like its broken.
Well, thats more of an open and honest experience than an opinion. But, im proud of myself because I did this with an open mind and forgotten about the past game for the most part.... thanks for reading...

However, you give no details or evidence that back up your claim of being any kind of professional.

Well, I am suprised you had such a hard time doing the newbie stuff....but wait " decided to ignore the next bunch of follow the way point and kill quests to do some exploring of my own".... Perhaps you should have continued on with those as they are not too hard, a bit of fun and contain a storyline to follow which isn't too bad, I don't often follow story arcs. It's called the legacy quest/s and will take you on to Jabba's palace a bit later on as well as provide you with new weapons etc.
While I commend you on your desire to explore as you see fit, I think it fair to point out that if, for example, a new player in WoW were to decide that instead of doing the quests and leveling in the Abbey, or Goldshire and "go exlploring" in Lakeshire or Westfall, they too are gonna have a pretty crappy time.
Although you suggest you approached the game as if it were new. I suspect, from reading your post, that you didn't achieve this entirely given that you went off 'exploring' all these other planets, perhaps as you would have pre NGE? You failed to take into account the new level system which divides the planets into leved zones.
You seem to have a pop at the "VERY HEAVY" population by noting the AFK dancers/spammers. Again, failing to take into account the level structure and perhaps higher level people are spread over higher level zones? Infact your whole post has a negative undertone to it which comes accross in a rather apathetic and jaded manner.
There are plenty of MMO's that ignore scenery when it comes to combat, sadly. Gold sellers are a genre wide issue, and SWG recently took steps to try and prevent this, but failed.

I would suggest changing "professional opinion" to "personal opinion", unless of course you make mmorpgs for a living.

This is not acceptable for any game. The AI is such an important part of any game. Do you agree or no? This is why I will not give a high re-play value as a game journalist in a popular game magazine.

The magazine is an E-zine and were getting ready to publish issue #1 next month. Its popular to those people supporting it.
