What is the point of diablo 2 battle.net

in The Pub at MMORPG.COM

ij just purchased diablo 2 + Expansion and i signed online and played it lvled up to 14. i m up to the marsh. do i just keep getting to the next waypoints and eventually get to hell? where can i find a map or guide to help me

    well if you murder someone and die you will go to hell instantly.

    Diablo is set up like this: There are 5 acts. Each act is like a level which consists of zones with dungeons and bosses (Zones being the different patches of the map that contain waypoints). Once you have found your way to the boss needed to progress to the next act, you kill them and move on.

     

    There are 3 difficulties with 5 acts each.

    Check the edges of the map for the next path,  it might also show in quests where to go.

    Hell is the third act, Nightmare the second, and normal is the first act (which you start the game in). Each act is more or less, the same game just made more difficult. Now, what you really want to ask about... is the Secret Cow Level.

    i already  know what the secret cow level is thats how i got all my stuff = ]. 70k, Gemmed Claymore, Kite Sheild, Superior Great Helm, Chain Gloves.

    I personaly found Diablo 2 to be quite fun. It is an easy game to grasp and get high, but also one hard to master.

    I found months and months of fun from it. So I hope you like.

    Oh yeah, Orb Sorc was the best

    Well, I like video games but in no way am I a master in any. I managed to get to level 70 in 3 days. # I think 11 on the ladder.

    Not terribly hard to master.

    I see, well when I played to even get on the ladder you needed to be at least 96.

    Thats's why I said it was hard to master

    Good thing the ladder resets at times.

    -I'm inclined to agree, if I remember right, that secret level is only available in Hell....

    The Cow Level is available after obtaining Wirts Leg, the cube, and a tomb of portals.  I am not sure if there is a time requirement on it, but I do know you can only do it once per difficulty level.

    [edit] I believe that you have to defeat Diablo in order to be able to open the Cow Level.
