Ok so i start recently hearing a bit of news on Fury and i thought id check it out, my first impressions are...
screenshot graphics: 4/10
hardcore pvp game: 9/10
user reviews: 1/10
trailer: 5/10
overall: 4/10
so its not looking good right... then i search up this "Auran" company thinking who the hell are they and first thing i see is "aussie company"
as soon as i see this instantly from a 4/10 my support to this game jumped up to about a 7/10!
why? maybe coz im a hardcore aussie gamer and nearly every mmo i play i usually become one of the top 10 players in australia but against the rest of the world im still good but usually not top 10
u see in aus mmos are getting bigger but still not half as big as in us and in asia and i would love to see the aussie gaming industry grow there for fury has my support!
yeah i know, u guys probably think "we have a lot of offline games that are a big success so our mmo should be fine"...................................... WRONG
mmos are a different ball game all together, u guys have been playing golf ur whole lives now u guys are playing rugby! mmos are 20 times easier to stuff up and because mmos cost much more to make then offline games its much easier to become bankrupt, iv seen so many companies come and go because there mmo doesnt work
Tips to Auran:
- there are a lot of negative posts about Fury so far, dont make that the image of the company! even if u guys fix the problems people will think so badly of u guys that they wouldnt even think twice about returning, remember first impressions last a life time
- the game MUST work on all new microsoft operating systems, if fury doesnt work on vista then sorry fellas but you guys will be bankrupt very soon
- hold a lot of tournaments and conventions in all parts of aus (mainly in melb, syd, bris) to make the aussie market grow, once the aussies are playing it then the world will join in
- ADVERTISE LIKE CRAZY! if i havnt heard of fury till now then u guys are seriously doing something wrong
- Forget about gaining profits and gaining customers and think about making the game the best possible game it can be, make sure it runs smooth with barely any flaws, this way the people that play the game will continue to play...if u concentrate on gaining customers u wont gain any, if u concentrate on making the game good, u will gain a lot!
I hope this helps u guys out, good luck with everything, once u guys fix the problems ill join yas
kthnxbye

I read it, and dont understand your scring at all You give pvp 9/10 , you give screnshots 5/10 player reviews 1/10 ete etc etc. Then start going on about what they need to fix blah blah blah, and you havnt even played the game. Then you go from overall score from4/10 to 7/10 because you find them to be aussie developers?.
Just because it's located in Aussie doesn't means you can jump your rating from 4/10 to 7/10. Comon, be more realistic.
Look at what he is giving marks for. He is giving marks on things he can form an opinion without playing the game. So i don't see the problem.
The reason he jumped his marks up is because he's chuffed its an Aussie game... no its not realistic, but it doesn't have to be and he clearly states it is simply because of its origin. Just pull the stick from your ass and give the guy a break.
Are you kidding me?

The OP is a fine exemple of "know-it-all-mmog-critic",he hasnt played the game/or has played for less than 1 hour and offers a review based on other people's comments and screenshots. The game isnt in beta atm,it is in PRE-BETA (I am in the pre beta, dont think saying just this will break the NDA).
Please for the love of gaming,if you havent played the game for more than 1 hour do not post a review ,it just makes you look like a fool... that goes to all ninja reviewers.
P.S I burst in a uncontrolable laughter after reading "screenshot graphics: 4/10 ,thank you,my stomach and brain havent felt this much pain since the last party I was at.
i was simply trying to describe my first impressions of the game and what better way to describe my first impressions then to rate each impression?
btw thank u louisek for understanding where im coming from
P.S. please read my whole post before commenting because this isnt a negative post, i am actually backing this game!
Why are you attempting to write a review on a game in Alpha/Early Beta testing? Your 4/10 on the screenshot rating was balsy, way to stick your neck out there on that one.
By the way if you want people to actually take your posts seriously can you learn to actually complete sentences and punctuate properly? I can't possibly imagine anyone not having a hard time figuring out whatever it is you were trying to say with this drivel.
if thats true i hope a lot of Oceanic-time-zoned-players will pick up Fury. I'm in the US but I've been gaming with the Aussies for years now because of my work hours. nothing like having your raid times overlap server matinence. "tea break everyone! bb in 30"
I GET IT! I read OP's post and I get it. I've been there many times. You want to share a first impression but have only a limited amount of info to work with. So, the first impression is going to rely strongly on what you have heard and the few things you've seen and whatever is available thru the dev site. So he breaks it down.
(screenshot graphics: 4/10) Most screen shots at this stage are provided from the game dev from ingame action. Note that if these shots are not captured by quality devices you end up with poor grainy quality pix and the shot looks like crap. With better screen capture like those used by arena.net for Guild Wars it would help. Those in Pre-Beta clearly see something better and can probably capture nice shots but unfortunately are restricted under the NDA in sharing what they see, too bad .
(hardcore pvp game: 9/10) This is a strictly PvP game and clearly OP is into anything PvP hence the high score. Nuff said their.
(user reviews: 1/10) Apparently OP was successful in uncorking alot of previously quiet Blow Holes. If there are soooo many that found fault in OP's post then they need to start hyping the games they enjoy instead of waiting for opportunities to neg-post a review they find disagreeable. Clearly at this point, there are quite a few that are enjoying the game and the score should be bumped to a 2/10 and if you want higher then start hyping and stop hating.
(trailer: 5/10) Again these are provided by the game dev most of the time. It is important for a game dev to realize that this for most will give the strongest 1st impression because it's the first look many will have of any ingame action. It should be high quality recorded and easily accessable.
As far as OP bumping the overall rating from 4/10 to 7/10 based on the aussie game dev team that's his prerogative. He's clearly a fanboy of their work down under and has high hopes for this particular project, so be it.
Now for my impression.... this is my impression of a Wal-Mart sign .
one word....... LOL
All I could do was LOL at the OP's vanity. He thinks he's so good and knows it all...shame man.
lol, yea... its because i do
