With all of the videos we've seen of gameplay showing off the different stages of Spore development and all of the media stops Will Wright has done talking about the game, it's kinda hard to figure out exactly what is taking so long. Could they be trying to port it to a console for a dual launch? Did the game need a major overhaul? Does Will Wright hate me and just like torturing me with some sort of non-existent Sisyphusian game?



Actually, I don't really care what the reasons are, I just want me some Spore.

    aww, 2009....thats 2 years:( That bites...wait...I'll go to the future with my time machine (I ordered it on ebay, the guy said its from the movie Napoleon Dynomite)  said it really works, so I'm gonna try it tonight and go get my self spore...I'll tell you how it is...well that is if I can come back from the future, the little warning said I might get stuck...but oh well, I'll have SPORE

    I don't think it is possible for a game to surpass DNF as the ultimate vaporware. Im going to laugh so hard when DNF actually releases. Funny thing is about a month or so ago they got a new Manager of the project, and supposedly he is determined to make it not vaporware. But, Do I believe it'll actually come out? No.

    I don't know. That site doesn't look too credable. It looks more like a person's blog.

    Until I see it on Game Informer or something, I won't believe it.

    By the time Spore comes out we, the human race, will have already evolved making the game obsolete. Simple as that. . .

    I was watching an interview the other day and the dude said that it would be out sometime in the middle to late 2008, along with a DS release of the game.

    I hate uninformed people.

    Fiscal 2009 for EA begins April 2008.  Read this article.  We may still see a 2008 release sillyheads.
