I kinda bashed on this game during beta, because the crowds of people were horrendeous and the AFK botting was out of control.
Now, though, it seems to be totally changed.. all the free game idiots are gone because of the required $8.95 a month, and the system they have that boots you out after 30 mins of AFK is just fine. You can't really AFK level safely anyways and its a pretty fair system now.
I am having a good time , amazingly fast paced game which is a breath of fresh air from WoW or LOTRO.
Give it a go, you can get to L 20 for free then it becomes P2P.

I agree, the game has changed a crapload since beta of GE, the AFK leveling has been dealt with almost entirely, I mean you can still sit there alt tabbed for 20-30 min, but that's still reasonable because you're actually there, previously however you could AFK for 10 hours or more while you sleep/work and gain like 5 levels.
This has turned out to be a pretty damn good game :>
i admit I was an afker in the Singapore version mainly because everyone else was doing it.
Now that Sword of the New World is out, I was amazed how many of them disappeared. Though I see a family or two afking, it's not as crowded as it was in Singapore.

Totally agree. The translation could use a little more work IMO but it's nothing too troublesome. SotNW clearly fits my top 3 most favorite MMOs.

Ok... I'm not above being a bandwagon jumper. hehe. I love the game it is a lot of fun. Right now I am trying to get high enough on Vespanola to PK! I can't wait for Faction Wars and elections! I'm gonna be President... even if I have to corpse camp all my opponents into dropping out of the race!

This game is definately a most welcome breath of fresh air.
I read a couple of comments on the english translation, although there are sometimes random texts that are in somewhat poor english, I found the english to be remarkably good overall - even sometimes extremely good - and the dialogues to be well written.
I totally agree. I love this game.
I really like it to play with a "3 man group" so i dont have to look for a healer all the time
The graphics are beautiful and they dont require a "high end computer".
But i have to disagree with your statement about afk leveling, u CAN afk level very well, at least until u reach ~lvl 50. At 50 its not really easy to afk level, and after lvl 51 your grp members dont resurrect automatically, so if one of the family member dies, its just a matter of time, until the whole family will wipe. And you dont get kicked out after 30 minutes, they removed that after the game went live at least in the K2 version which i play. I dont understand ppl who like to play the singapure version, so many botters, and bad support, always the same if u play a game without a monthly feeLOL I think you have it backwards. Your going to PAY $9 a month for DATED graphics? But hay you get what you pay for. These people are VERY misleading. I'm reading it right now.. FREE TO PLAY. No were does it say ANYTHING about $8.95. Oh and a breath of fresh air from LOTRO? It just came out. Your the kind of people games like this just LOVE. You take what you get (and pay for it) you dont expect anything . Enjoy your Free to play.
The game is free to play, just to level 20. AFter that you have to pay. Can you still play? YES will you advance? No. Its free to play.
As for outdated graphics... game looks good to me, is it top of the line? no... but it looks better than wow or lotro.
As for not getting what we pay for... Im completely satisfied so far. Its the first game that I msg the head of community relations and actually get a response.
