How is grouping?

Hey all... I was thinking of giving this game a try but before downloading it I wanted to ask if  grouping is commen. My personnal tastes in mmo's is more towards the grouping side then to the solo side.

I've been playing for one day on the non-open PK server Oprsaia , and so far  i can say  from a low lvl point grouping is not to common. The MCC system you could leave your group alone , grind for you lol . at the low lvls there is no death peneatly , so you see alot of AFK grinders.

In heavely populated hard zones like a dungeon you may get random invites from the non afkers tho , accept and see how the person is ,there are loot distributaion rules.

First let me start off by saying I love the feel of the game.  I like the music, and the look of the game.  Zip Zip Ah Roo!!!!

Anywhot, I've seen tons of people running around (which actually may not be a lot since everyone controls 3 people)... but the point is I've seen lots of people running around town and in the fields.  I've tried talking to people in the chat windows, and NO ONE talks.  I've tried talking to lots of people running by and just doing general chat shouts to see if anyone was around.  Everyone seems to just ignore everyone.  I've only talked to one person and I immediately added him to my buddy list.  That is the only thing that is very strange.  I've yet to actually join a group.  Like the previous person said, you can pretty much play this game by yourself since there is a lot of auto attacking and it's very easy to use skills for the multiple players you control.

That may be the only thing that stops me from renewing next month.  I've a very chatty gal and need to talk with people. If people aren't chatting I kind of get blehhhhh.  Anywhot, that's just my short term experience with the game so far.

Oh and I have a quickie question.  Can I buy or change clothes once I've created a character?  I saw that one guy selling clothes but they were for level 70 characters.  I'm only level 10.  I'd like something snazzier for some of my guys.

I think the reason for a lack of groups is because the low levels are quite easy (for the most part.  Some quests are insanely hard.).  So people are just cruising along.  Supposedly the high end content involves guild/group related gameplay, so people will definitely be grouping up and being social then.

Yeah, and stated above, pre 50ish there's no real reason to group, but that being said, grouping with 1-2 other people in a squad can really boost your exp, I was soloing up to 18, and it took a few hours, it was hard to kill mobs above my level, yet when I partied with my GF, we were taking out 22-24s easily, for really great exp.

Yeah you can go through the game just autoattacking, if that's how you want to play, but if you actually want to spend your time wisely, most classes have a nice AoE skill or two, so it's best to actually be playing your characters and grouping up a fair amount of mobs, then blast them away.

It's really not a very social game. That would be my biggest complaint about it.

And so far that seems to be my only issue.

I think of it as MMO Diablo mixed with an RTS rather than a normal game. It's different, which is sort of a first.

At the beginning leveling doesnt require grouping, but, grouping will speed your progress.

When you group up you get quest credit for everyones kills, so you complete quests 2x or 3x as fast.

Also as another poster mentioned you can fight mobs above your level.

I grouped with a guildy tonight and I was 22 and he was 23, we were fighting in a 29 - 34 dungeon. It was rough but we were exping like mad.

I could have also gone to a level 15 - 19 spot and ground easily with little worries but would have taken much longer.

The game is social if you reach out and try, or you can be a hermit till much later if you choose, its up to you.
