MMOFPS Question

Hey im just wondering how the combat in these games is gonna be, I mean are they all simply like hellgate london in which your bullets kinda aim them selves if you click anywhere near the target; or is it gonna be like counter-strike and any other fps game out today where your bullets dont hit even if your only a millimeter off.  Also how instanced are they gonna be, is it like lineage 2 with no load screens, like diablo 2 with semi instances, or fully instanced like 1 room per area.

edit- I meant MMOFPS and jsut one weapon s autoseeking like that. you refer to the beam type of attack I assume

it depends on the game.  im pretty sure huxley will play just like a regular fps, where you have to actually aim at things and not just click tab and hold down your mouse .  for most of these games, you still have to aim in some way, but most of them seem to have some form of lock-on system to make it easier.

and then theres all the character stats and different weapons/armor, that effect how much damage you give/take.

instances- depends on the game again. dont know all the details, but like ..

huxley -i thought they were looking to make the world open, like planetside, but there would be some instances as well. for example, i read something like there are these objective areas like power stations, that the sides would fight over. and inside that power station is an instance that only would support like one squad from each faction. so each side has to send a squad in to duke it out, and whoever wins captures the base. or something like that.  and i think there is instanced mission systems in that game as well.

hellgate- pretty sure its all instances like guild wars, with towns serving as the persistant part. not sure how it works though, if like things reset when you enter a town or logout or whatever.

its kinda mixed. some games are gonna be open worlds with lock-on targeting that means you just have to select a target, stay in range, and hold your mouse button down until something dies.  other games might require you to actually aim and pay attention to where you are shooting.
