People who get the humor * self-seriousness of the vid are the type of people we're recruiting. People who think they are L337 and call the vid gay... well... Actually, it was over dramatic - and that was the point. Since it was intentional, it was not stupid. Those too dense to figure that out, however...
Also - I didn't record it - a guild member in England did, thus his accent . I think he did a kick ass job. What, were we supposed to hire a voice actor?
You don't understand RP? Really... I understand non-rp very easily.
The whole VOIP thing is very interesting - haven't really tried doing any actual RP over the voice channel. Though, there are voice changing programs out there like MorphVox. Very cool shit. I certainly wouldn't want to get on chat and hear that female dark elf sounding like a squeaky teenage boy...
No... I think the In-Character dialog would remain more with the in-game text chat, while the voip is a tool that helps leaders to direct our guys in big RvR fighting. Especially on an RP server you've got to back up your tough talk.
Over dramatic?! HAH! The guy sounded like he was hiding in some cave, in hope that no one from the real world would hear him... There was no drama, feeling, or anything like that in his voice. That's only part of the reason the video was bad.
I understand why you wouldn't want to use your real voice while RP'ing, even thinking about that makes me LOL. Keeping it all in text allows you to keep it all a secret in your head from the rest of the world... not to mention that if anyone was in a room close-by they'd probably call for the white van to take you away.
You may call people stupid for not liking that video, and that's fine with me. However, full grown men pretending they're actually some Orc, or whatever, while playing a game is intelligent? If that's the case, I'm very happy being an idiot, and being with my idiot friends.

nothing i hate worst than seeing someone trash wow for whatever reason after they have spend months and years being entertained by it just never makes since so..i'm glad to see someone "say goodbye" in such a respectful and mature way. good job and goodluck to you and your guild in your new home.
I find roleplaying appealing, but to a point where it is required to roleplay a gay dude, only thing I want to do after watching this video is roll order and kill this guy so many times that server erases him by mistake...

The vid that started this was just something he made up in about 5 min so give him a break. Whoever thinks it was some wierdos voice he's british so GG just made fun of the place where WAR is being made dumbasses. Instead of making fun of the vid why dont you actually tell them what can make it better fatasses thinking your better than the person who made the vid why dont you make your own damn speech and see if you can do it better if you can do it while getting off your fatasses fucking losers.
