in Asheron's Call 2 : Fallen Kings

I was lookin forward to playing a new game yesterday when i started downloading the free trial but after i had installed it without any faults it tells me i need a cd key?!?! Did i miss something or have i buggered up somewhere?

    You should be able to play.  I just downloaded the free trial.  It should have installed two shortcuts on your desktop.  One premium and one free trial.  Click the free trial one.  All you should need is a microsoft .net passport.  Hope this works for you.  I just started playing this morning...nice graphics but I am not super impressed...I am going to give it a bit more time tho.

    ¬_¬ i feel stupid now, soz i hadnt noticed the FREE TRIAL icon that was now there. Guess my desktop needs cleening up again. Thanks

    image No problem...here are a few of my favorite excuses for missin stuff on my comp:

    1.  My pet monkey distracted me with his hilarious and capricious antics

    2.  It was camouflaged, it blended in with my background (sometimes actually true since I am partially color blind).

    3.  Icon?  What icon?  And continue to deny deny deny!

    4.  You put that on my computer while I was sleeping didn't you?  (blame everyone except yourself)

    5.  Hmm...would you look at that...it finally works.  After all those times rewriting code, and fixing all those problems.  Man Im a genius!

    Hope these help and I also hope you enjoy the game...I tried it for a little bit yesterday morning.  Not too exciting but then I was only on for about an hour.

    Ive now played a little, and you know with some games you instantly get addicted and WANT to play more. With this i didnt get that, i was holding out till i died at one point, turned off the computer and didnt come back for a while. It just dosnt have a very high fun-factor. Walking around was awkward, i often ran into things. Once id changed the camera a bit to get a good look of my character i ran awkwardly for the next 20 mins. Sorry for all you die-hard fans of the game but this is "just another mmorpg" nothing special...

    True, it is just another MMORPG at the start. The first 15 lvls are basically an introduction to the game and how it works. Real character developement starts at that point. I dont know. I recently started a new character and was having fun giong through all the begining stuff again, especially since a lot of things were added since I last played a newbie character.

    But each person has their own playing style that appeals to them. At least with the trial you can find out for yourself without losing anything.

    Im starting to have my own problems, I downloaded it, installed, ran the FREE TRIAL shortcut and entered my passport details, then it went to the next window.................IT DOES NOT UPDATE!!!! It says that the update has had a problem then it just closes the window. Anyone know what the problem is?

    I am having the same problems to, I checked the support site and I found the closest problems to mine, and started downloading some files, I deleted the files I was told to and tried again but without luck. I have now tried for two hours, using all the solutions that I can think of from finding new programs to clicking on every file in the game-file.  What is wrong with it?

    Sorry to hijack you post but i was wondering if you could help at all? How do I create a new account in order to play the
    15 day free trail.
    I have net passport but when i try to log in i get
    the messge "unable to retrive account information,
    please try again later".

    Are u sure u entered a valid net passport, because it should work?

    goto www.accmty.com and post on the technical forums... I'm sure that someone will be able to help out.. The Devs read those boards quite often also, so they may have a solution also...

    I wanted to play the ac2 trial. I tried installing it, and halfway through i get this message "problem: casastrophic error"
    pretty nasty error, i tried it again, same, i tried downloading it again, same. Too bad, i played the ac2 beta and wanted to have 15 days of fun to tide me over until doom 3.

    It sound like there may be a problem with the free trial install... I would post exactly what it errors you are receiving on www.accmty.com ... Hopefully they know what the problem is

     

    That sucks that you are having problems :(.
