Really bad lag

Has anyone been experiencing bad lag whilst playing this game. I'm not sure whether its to do with the xtrap thing, but in some areas at certain times the game is unplayable, waiting over a minute for your characters to move is a bit of a joke for a pay to play game, private servers are more stable than this. I've been trying to work out whether its my side of the connection but i play other games and they're fine, i've checked on numerous different spyware/malware scanning software for possible problems and nothing, I even play the game and sometimes its fine, but then i log in again and its not so fine. Anyone else with similar problems? Thanks.

This game already has private servers? That's kind of depressing.
Played about 20 hours or so of it this weekend and have had hardly any lag. Once or twice Ill hook a corner with 50+ mobs and it will hitch a bit, but no character delay issues.
No i didn't mean the game has private servers, I'm not sure if it does or it doesn't. I was just saying private servers generally. I'm finding that if i relog in it seems to stop lagging, so maybe its just a bit temperamental.
Odd, I don't get any lag or hitching in this game. What server are you playing on?

It doesn't seem like normal lag to me, It progressively gets worse until the server boots you out because of lack of connectivity.
I would go to the game forum and see whats being said. You may have done that already. Hope you find a fix or they get it working better. The US servers are runnning great.

Over the weekend we received multiple reports of lag, and disconnection issues on the Sword servers. I would like to as anyone who is currently experiencing this to please post a trace route to the server they play on. The IP address of the server can be located by opening the serverlist.xml file.
The steps to issue a trace route are as follows.
Click Start,
Click Run,
In the area provided please type "command",
Click Ok,
Now type the following "tracert xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"
This will begin the trace of your internet connection to ours, after this is done copy this information and post it on this thread. This information will help us pin-point the problem.
If anyone has any questions about this process feel free to ask, but please keep this thread on topic of lag.

havent heard of any wide spread lag issues recently. And as always game is playing fine for me.
