is there any at all? I was thinking maybe the squad combat was pvp since you could make armies with friends and such. just looking for some clarification because pvp is a big thing to me in game. Don't get me wrong, this game looks insane in the PvE department, I just like to pvp sometimes

There will be FFAPVP server(s) at launch, there might be duels. But other than that that's it until expansion. The good thing is we will be able to suggest and discuss types of pvp to the devs so when it is released, it will definitely be worth it and awesome.
Same with crafting.
Free for all server and duels. After launch they'll put in an arena system, with the colossium and such, then with expansions as more nations are added, there will be nation vs nation or realm vs realm.

Is the enemy nation going to be live players or npcs?Whens the expansion expected?
It's looking not to good for AoC,now I'm scurrying to find a pre-winter mmo.
When nation vs nation is added, it will be mostly player characters. The deal with NvN is contested territory, so I imagine you'd run into npc's also. I don't expect nvn to come out too soon after launch though, which might hurt them in the long run. I don't think AoC will be the culprit, since I doubt much of the pvp crowed will be able to run that game, but War could put a dent in GnH's subscriptions since they'll most likely have a solid realm vs realm going.
The one thing that could save GnH in that area, is that War's rvs is sort of tiered and hand held, which could get old fast. GnH's will be more in the sense of a 'free world', and not as predictable. Still, GnH still has to get a system out at some point so the main pvp aspect of the game can sink or swim until then.

Personally I view WAR as a player base filter for other games.Without it, other mmo's would be swamped with rift raff,sorta like why france gave us the statue of liberty.Gods n heroes looks like they have a solid engine and alot of area to fight in.Not being overcrowded is a good thing.Makes good squad vs squad action.The other two hyped mmo's look very zerg based.This could be the surprise of 07' easily.
Guess the pvp expansion(hopefully update) would take at least 6-12 month's.Hope they allow a char xfer to the other side at release.
Ive been reading that PvP might be limited on release because of how minions might cause balance issue. My hope is that they concentrate on the rest of the game and come back to PvP once they get all the other bugs , major issues resolved.
