Thing is, many know it is the grinder to end all.

I just would never say "L2" to anyone. The games made for the bots now. I'd play on a free server though...if it were legal that is! <shifty eyes>

Tsk, Tsk! Naughty boy! Didn't your momma teach you that private servers are illegal? And c'mon... Lineage2? It's like selling drugs to unaware children. You should be ashamed...That was a joke.

    Yours? It wasn't.

C'mon dude, he said he's not reading it anymore. He got us with his incredible sence of humor...

City of Heroes. It is a pure grinding in every sense of the word, but you never actually notice it.

    Awesome game!

Meh.. L2 ain't that bad with bots. Depends alot on which server you end up on though.

And there are alot of players who just ignore the bots and e-bayers and play their game. Eventually everyone comes to end game and then it's not any difrence really between e-bayed toons. They just got there faster.. And i though the grind was what he was looking for.

With harcore playing you can reach noblesse within a year.

And like someoen else said... If you looking for FF there are the private servers...They are a few updates behind official, but those don't have any bot issues on the other hand.

Just that most of them are in countries where the majority speaks pretty bad english.

When lightning strikes once, Venaja strikes twice!

WoW doesnt have grind. wow is a kiddy game that you can solo to level to the highest level in a month...if you log on for an hour a day.

You can't get to level 70 in 30 hours.

The game is a grind, plain and simple, if you don't know why then you shouldn't even be replying to this thread.

I have to chime in and say Lineage 2 also. At level 52+ (I think 75 was the cap at the time) it was taking me 3-4+ weeks to get a single level. And if that wasn't slow enough, I had nowhere NEAR enough money to buy items when I finally did level...and they certainly wouldn't drop for you. lol

To be honest fella, that's what a grind is. A repetative action of just killing mobs over and over again. Grinds aren't made to be challenging, just time wasting. It's a game developers band-aid over the gameplay section. Anyone who says that leveling up in MMO's requires anything but staying up all night and all day doing the same keyboard hotkeys over and over again is lying.

    Grinding isn't challenging.

    Grinding isn't fun.

Grinding is just a time-sink for mindless actions and a fake sense of achieving something in a game.

Have a good time looking at your fellow gamer and saying "I've got more berries than you."

alright you too me too seriously. I do think that wow is a kiddy game and that it is super easy to level. You can solo to 70, You dont HAVE TO PARTY, it is an option. In other games Such as Final Fantasy and L2 you need to party in order to get to the highest level. I have known people to get a character to level 70 in wow in a matter of weeks. in final fantasy you have to take at least 3 months to get to 75 if you play every day hardcore.

What I think he's saying is that it doesn't have a grind compared to all other MMO's out there besides guild wars. It honestly really doesn't have much of a grind at all. I got to lvl 70 in one semester, that's me doing school and homework and logging in for maybe 3 hours a day. When I got to lvl 62 in Lineage2 it took me atleast a year or so. This is before all the patches that made it easy to level up. I got to 62 a little after chronicle 2 came out. That was a grind. I started right from open beta.

Theres a bit of a difference in PVP when the other guy has all his armor/jewlery +15 and his weapon is deep red  and you don't even have your A grade weapon yet. There are far too many ways to make yourself alot better then the guy next to you with just pure money in that game, it really becomes pointless unless you are spending 500$ on your character to spec him out only to be crushed by the millions of greek ebabies in one clan that have better equipment than you.

With a grind? Lol...Lineage 2 will put you on a good treadmill.

I think all the asian MMO's come with masochistic chains and whips in their packaging, so not only can you torture yourself mentally, but physically as well!

Aha reminds me of something ironic. Playing EQ which could be a hell of a grind, someone was playing Lineage. And I felt sorry for him as he was telling me how long it took to level in that. (Something like one level with solid play everyday for a month)

You may also want to check out Archlord.

This game has good graphics, lots of grinding and when you get bored just go and pk someone since this is open pvp too. You'll need to buy the game but there are no subscription fees.
