That is a lesser known and not commonly practiced martial art known as Shi Ti F'lei Ling , it was practiced by a sect of monks deep in the forests of Laos, it is extremely dangerous, to not just everyone around you but yourself as well, such is the power of Shi Ti F'lei Ling.

I think they're trying to be super-realistic, and real sword fighting/battles arent very graceful. :X
The swings dont bother me so much though, it's mainly the walking, especially when holding a weapon, that bugs me.
