This game is my second runner up if WAR isn't good or FE comes out before it.  And yes it's a fantasy and has elves but warhammer has some of the best lore and with ties in Mythic theres going to be some good PvP and RvR. But this game does have great looks to it and I really hope it's going to be great for mine and everyone elses sake. I'm not a fan of FPS but the rest of the gameplay and other goodies they're adding are very interesting to me and I really can't wait for it.

well also they have the mountable horses and such that actually can be killed from underneath you while your mounted and you wont die... thats an impressive feature other MMO's should done years ago.... because ive gotten tired of people aiming at my horse in games and killing me with it :(

The Post-Apocalyptic setting. Without doubt they would take at least 50% of Anarchy Online's current subscriber base with it, speaking to most people there sci-fi vs fantasy is the only reason they havenet moved on to other MMOs.

One of the feature that i love for this game,

No class at all! The 6 factions will have some advantages, like the lightbearers are martial art and healing oriented while for example the enforcers are very much your hardcore military type skills. So those folks would get an edge within their skills but nothing stop someone from the lightbearer to spend AP points in weapons as much as they want! So no levels! create YOUR characater.

So sick and tired of, nope, cant heal you're a tank, nope cant fight you're a healer, you cant do dps you're this, etc etc. You learn the skills on HOW you WANT it!

Plus because of how they've implemented those skills system you really wont have a clue about other folks. Whose to say this guy across the street is gona kick your ass? He maybe just some noob or some guy who "looks" like a noob but that pack some nasty toys! So it isnt gona be apparent right away and that is "another" good thing.Kinda take the suspense away when all you gota do is look at someone to know what class and what level he is by simply scrolling your cursor over him/her.

I hope they will retain a somewhat current era technology. After all this game isnt that far in the future. I would hate to start seeing laser and frikkin space crap! This is a world that's been devastated and maybe if the game last many many years then it would make sense, but for the next few years, all i hope we see is the odd vehicle owned by some guilds. Hopefully they can deliver!

As a side note, I forgot the lead dev name but in one video he clearly states that beta "may" start before the end of the year!

The skills system holds an interest for me, while the idea that you could build a car to drive around in also sounds interesting.

HOWEVER... FE has been in development for a long, long time and I'm yet to see a release date set for it. Plus I'm also waiting to see how things work when players actually get into the game and the devs have to work out what features to cut prior to release (it happens every MMO, so please don't get too worked up on that comment FE fanbois).

If FE ever approaches beta, I'll be interested in it. Until that time, it's vapourware.

No elves...until the first expansion when the Vistas get a pointy ear mutation.

Vaporware is when a game was hyped and never got released.

This game was at the Austin show, and the head dev said possibly a beta at the end of the year. Check the 30 mins video and he clearly mentions it or strongly hint at it. Nope dont get hyped, because after all this game has to be 6-8 months from release anyway. But to call it vaporware? too many folks throw that denominator around too easily nowadays.

R u kidding me this game looks boooooorrrrring, i dont even think i would play this game let alone pay for it each month, i mean honestly who wants to play a game competing with six other factions in post-apocalypse grand canyon its a slab of rock. Couldnt this company figure out a better theme for the game.

May the force be with you

sorry no orcs or elves here.

If the Grand Canyon is just a slab of rock, what kind of terrain does it take to capture your interest?

Ye, becouse a forrest is so interesting with all those trees...and more trees.....you know what you also find trees!!!!! Also the Grand Canyon is the best place for this game (Already it is said an expension toward Las Vegas would not be unlikely. Also I think it is likely they will add Las Vegas)

However this game is interesting duo to the open classes, the production, mutation. The only thing I do not really like is how the FPS system is gonna work (Still gonna be an dice type of damage system)

All is fine, theese complaints about graphics and terrain just show how right on track this game is. I have yet to see a complaint against skill type, deep(er) crafting, customization (from what we see is gona be a blast)...

Seting is an instant win for me, I realy want something like this. I can't wait for them to start showing more of the core gameplay so we actualy get to see if it is as good as it looks for now.

Well pretty much any terrain that excludes a game that sounds like its ripping off the resident evil movies and games, u know since their's mutation in this game why some of u guys get a guild together and just throw some zombies in there

May the force be with you

  • KehnKehn Member Posts: 180

The same thing could have been said about Resident Evil and its predecessors.

  • ArchinArchin Member Posts: 103

Iva had it with fantasy games! im going back to my roots, and that is a more realystic game type.. fallout 3 + fallen earth are gona rock, I was addicted to F1 + 2 back in the day so this is gona be great.

    FE + F3 + Bioshock + Crysis = a lot of fun for a long time :DD

All games have the ability to be great, nhowever it's the devs that usually ruin the game for the rest of us

heh, i take it you've never been to the Grande Canyon. it isn't called the Grand canyon for nothing. and it isnt a slab of rock. there are plenty of trees and not to mention the massive river flowing down the middle of it. if you ever visit the grand canyon, youll see what i mean.

oh and P.S. for all of you zombie killing lovers out there, check out Exanimus. its still in early development, but its a zombie mmo through and through.

I accidently found this game while searching for another game in the MMORPG Game List and well I was impressed. I was kind of gutted as it was to be in developement for ages to come and so i'd forgotten about it ever since. What I did like about it is that it looks like some sort of survival effort. Every gun looks like a contraption of some sort then you have the dune buggies and random zombies... It's just different and that's what I like about it.

I suggest going to www.fallenearth.com and reading the "Question of the Week" section. The devs answer a lot of questions the players had, and, it provides info directly from them.

Not much action in this forum about FE, this will probably change when the beta comes out and after launch. Even the traffic on the official forums has slowed some, since the Beta was pushed back from the end of this year, to the early part of next.

Still plenty of good info over there,  and this game will likely be of interest for a lot of people, especially if they are tired of games of the linear elves/dwarves/orcs variety.
