Comeback to this game or wait for the games coming later this year?

xSSxxSSx Member Posts: 128

I want to play a MMORPG. Though I'm not sure if I should comeback to this one or wait for a new one to come out and play that one. Why you may ask? I want to be able to play a MMORPG when it first comes out so I can keep up with its expansions and be there when everyone else it just about at my level. Not have to play catch up like with EQII which is having the level boosted to 80 (i only have a High 30's Paly).

I do enjoy playing EQII. I mostly solo but as I was finding the Paladin was only becoming harder and harder to solo with. I guess if I was to comeback I would need to change my type of character.

So could you all enlighten me if it worth coming back to EQII with a new char and maybe buying EoF to go along with it (New starting area should make the lower levels more funnier)?

As for coming back to EQ2 before the next wave of games, I am in the same boat as you.  I think I am going to end up playing it as there are still about 3 months before we really start seeing the big titles coming out, and even then you might want to give them about a month to get going with bugs and stuff.  Who knows, but I know that until those games start popping up, I want something to do, and EQ2 I think is my choice.  Hope that helps.

P.S. If you don't enjoy soloing with your pally, do a little research and find a good soloable class that fits you that you think you'll enjoy.

There is alot of people still playing low lvl toons and forming groups in this game. There is alot to do and there is alot to do in each tier of game progression. So Pick this up till I guess the new games come out but you will have lots of fun on this one, so peace!

    Just a few questions.

How is the EoF starting area compared to Queynos (Didn't spell it right)?

How is the Warden or Fury good for soloing and healing (I heard thats what they do I think lol).

If anyone plays on Najena how is the pop there (Thats my main server with my paly got some good money on him to start a new char with)?

I enjoy EQ 2 so much, and with the Rise of Kunark expansion, I am probably not going to buy a "new" game such as WAR or AoC.

The Neriak starting area is worth buying the game.  So much to do.  Great voices.  Very fun quests, imho.

The Fury is a great class.  Great solo class and great healer.

I am not on Najena. I have an alt on there, but I mostly play on Antonin Bayle....

Boycott EA Games. RIP Sim City.

First rule of thumb is never wait on a game that is still in development. Find yourself something that you think you will enjoy and go for it.

To be quite honest, the level cap is going to be raised in Novemeber when RoK comes out.  If you can grind your current character or a new character to 70 now, you will be progressing with everyone else when the level cap is raised to 80.  EQ2 is a great game and has a lot to offer to new and returning players.  When it comes to soloability, Furies are the best soloing priest, since they do the most damage.  Wizzards, Summoners (conjs and necros) are also great soloers.
