To be deadly honest I realy dont see how you can stop an mmo from being a "grindfest" . From the moment people get the concepet of being an Ichigo,or next naruto or just the ultimate player in the game that player will grind to be the strongest, and soon others will feel to do the same after a taste of his or her power, it's just a typical modern mmo tradition.

The difference of how the game sets the grinding is really on how long and how many times you repeat the same stuff to gain a level.
Compare a game that lets a high level character gain a level after 1 week of grinding to another game which only does it for 2 days. Given that the number of hours of gameplay is the same per day. In both cases you get sick of repeating the same thing again. But if there are other means to level up, then the story becomes different here.

Well the grinding in EvE [which im playing right now] is almost nonexistant where leveling your charecters skills are concerned, in fact there is no grinding at all. Of course i doubt this system of leveling will get implimented in AIOn as its a very unuserall form of leveling but i wanted to point out that there were ways of reducing and even elinimating grind altogether.

i hope this game has alot of extra, completely usless events that just make it fun, so its not just killing and owning a better set and kicking more ass (not that that is not important) so the game becomes alive, a true virtual world, a fun place to live. we are all afraid for the grind, lets hope they keep their promises, and lets hope we are in for some fun

I don't believe they promised any of that.
Your post leads me to believe that you are interested in early SWG or some sort of large Sandbox game. I don't get that this is one of those games at all nor are they promising it will be.

dude, i would never play SWG, i play EVE, and have played it for a long time, ever since i got to 60 in wow and got some nice ranks (i hear the sistem is diferent this days, dont know, and dont realy care)anyways, the one thing i liked about wow is that they made it a fun place to stay with all the usles extra crap, which was fun, like the darkmoon thingie and so on, all those events, all those places, that had nothing to do with leveling an gettin better gear and kicking more ass, but were there for the pure fun of it, i mean who didnt like it when the goblin in the undead city sead ,, i sure would like to eat something that didnt stop moving after it died,,. i played L2 and i remember that there was almost no such thing, and i hope they implement this into aion couse i relay would like it to be a fun place to stay

Ok, I see what you are saying, you are looking for essentially a level of detail that L2 doesn't have. Sure, I would have to agree with you. This is something the L2 developers sadly missed. They have buildings that are little more than set pieces. So sure, I would have to agree that some level of "life" within the world will be good. We know that they will have all sorts of flora and fauna so that is a good start.

Umm... okay? We get that you don't like his post but is it necessary to keep insulting him? It seems to me that YOU are the one who wants to argue when HE isn't even replying anymore. He simply asked why you had to post that Aion was on your watch list. He didn't flame or insult you, he simply asked a question, now leave him alone and stop flaming him. Unnecessary flaming is what should get people banned, not simple questions. Grow up.
Err Qels? How is this guy keeping on insulting him as faras i can see he made ONE reply post and even that was pretty mild

In that particular interview I read "incomparable" as "comparable".
My bad.
