Is CoH still going strong? I played for 6 months after release and i started to get bored. I take it since CoV came out the game has alot more to offer. Are there still alot of players out there or what?

I cannot speak for everyone, but I see more players now then ever.

CoH has a LOT more players then CoV.

I just started playing this week for the first time, and from my perspective, it looks like a healthy game.

I've been playing a little over 2 years and I keep coming back to it between other games. My Supergroup is still there and there's a good possibility for teaming with random players. I'd say it has a solid base.

It's still going along pretty well. It's well off its 200k or so subscriber peak of 2 years or so ago, but it still has quite a few subs. I just re-upped myself last week, and I've seen plenty of new characters running around, and lots of vets still in game.

Even at off-peak "odd" hours that I play I have never had trouble finding a team if I need one.  I don't even play on the higher pop realms like Freedom, Infinity rarely gets to "2 dots" on server load.

Certainately not millions of subs, but the game is doing fine.

I started in Beta and wound up leaving after the 6 month mark as most of my friends moved on to WoW.  I alone returned last november to CoX and the community has been thriving in my eyes.  With the release of issue 10 last week, load balancing is even kicking in so we have Atlas Park 1, Atlas Park 2, Steel Canyon 1 and Steel Canyon 2 (might add this is freedom server.)

I picked up the free trial recently with a couple and friends and we are really enjoying it. It seems like a stable game with a good player base. The community is very good also, most of the people I have grouped with are usually 110% friendly. I would say come on back, you should enjoy it again.

Agreed -- the ease of joining a pickup group because of that friendliness is amazing -- perhaps it's the hero mentaility (I haven't really grouped on the villain side) but it's a big factor in staying around.

in short almost everyone here is dead on..........live and well friendly community that is easy to group with, knows how to play both vets and newbies (easy game to catch onto) and I've been with it since 3 months after launch so almost 3 years.  I had a 3 month haitus but came back for I9 and it is better than before.  Great community, great game, simple game, but if you take it for what it is it can't be beat IMHO.  If you don't like trolls, orcs and ogres then this is your game.  pz...........
