Vampires, Skeletons, Zombies & Werewolves! I wanna play the bad guy!

Either I cannot recall the name of this old text based Mythic game because of this damn prescription cough syrup or it was just a figment of my imagination.

It was text based and you could play any of the race/classes in the thread title. You went around killing 'good' fantasy creatures.

It was hosted on a subscription game website that also had games like Aliens Online, Legends of Kesmai, Starship Troopers, Air Warrior(?).

I remember seeing Mythic's logo when the game came up but cannot for the life of me remember the title.

I want to call it Darkness Falls but thats a cheesy tooth fairy movie. Google is no help to me!

The point of this post though is to ask if there are any good MMORPG's out there that give the player the option to play the bad guy like this text-based rpg did.

Key word being good, Bite-Fight is not good.

Any and all shared knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, that is all!

    This game?

ISI was co-founded in 1990 by Rob Denton, now the company COO. In the early 1990's, ISI created a text-based multi user roleplaying game named Tempest (subsequently renamed Darkness Falls) that was available via dial-up in the Washington DC area.

    Currently playing:
LOTRO & WoW (not much WoW though because Mines of Moria rocks!!!!)

    Looking Foward too:
Bioware games (Dragon Age & Star Wars The Old Republic)

Or it could be this game maybe? :

AUSI was founded by Mythic's CEO and President, Mark Jacobs who started designing and programming text-based multiplayer roleplaying games in the mid 1980's. He is best known for creating the pioneering game Dragon's Gate, a text-based multi user role-playing game that started in 1996 and was available on a number of commercial online services such as GeNie.

LOTRO & WoW (not much WoW though because Mines of Moria rocks!!!!)

I actually managed to find it a few seconds ago.

The title was indeed Darkness Falls

There was an old service that started on AOL called Gamestorm that EA bought from them and it was one of the first Flat-monthly rate services that gave you unlimited access to a bunch of their games.

Mythic was one of their biggest publishers.

    From Wiki:

Mythic offered several licensed RPG and persistent non-RPG games to Gamestorm's library, including Dragon's Gate. Starship Troopers Online, Magestorm, Aliens Online, Splatterball, Godzilla Online, Silent Death Online, Darkness Falls, and Darkness Falls: The Crusade.

They also offered Legends of Kesmai and Air Warrior.

I was actually hoping there was a game that somehow went under my radar and offered play as one of those listed evil characters.

I checked the free games list and honestly free games blow for the most part lol. On the other hand so do subscription based games these days. I am a big Vampire: Bloodlines/World of Darkness fan and was just hoping there was a viable option in the MMO world to play. Guess nobody has jumped on that IP yet.
