PW problem with east asian fonts.

running the client.
i open it.
agree to the terms of serivce,
but everytime i try to save it
i get some strange error.
i don't know what it says
because it's in chinese...
can anyone help?
and i've got the required amount of disk space.
it just wont let me save.

Have you got an English patch applied it may show you what it say's im not too sure tho.

yup. i have everything. it's installed and i still can't read a word.

now, the login screen is supposed to be in chinese, correct?

You need to install east asian fonts on your computer, for starters. You'll need your Windows disc to do so.
Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages tab > check box next to "Install files for East Asian Languges" > press OK.
Also, when installing english patch, you copy the "patcher" folder from english patch into the game directory and the "surface.pck" in the "element" folder in your game directory, replacing the one that is there.
After all this, your launcher will come up in english when you start it. Update the game through the launcher. Now you will have to do the full english patch , placing the "patcher" and "element" folders in your game directory, and the "surface.pck" into the "element" folder again.
And that's it. Set your display settings and start the game. Enjoy.
Edit: Replacing the "element" folder before you update the game can screw up the updater, and cause problems starting the game.
