And I must admit it hurt ... really really bad ... I wish I didn't do that... I really wished I could share all my moments with you people. It would be SUPERB! I have about 200 pictures a total... all starting back in the glorious Pre-CU days. Some when the CU was released (to really show the difference upon how awful it became) and then only a FEW for the NGE (where I left the game)...

I am serious, I definitly wanna find one way of showing my adventure to all of you vets out there. Not that they might matter so much to you but I can guarantee there's tons of humor, laughter and heartwarming memories in theese pictures ;-(

If anybody could help me with this issue somehow feel free to mail me through this site. I could zip the files and send them somehow... anyway, if I get flamed I will not bother anymore about this and maby just show a few pictures or something

Here's this guy... 'wasting his time to post and tell someone to get a life'. At least the original poster had something they cared about/was passionate about... you're just posting for... ugh.. just lame...anyway... ignored.

My friends and I miss the game too. I'm hoping the rumours about BioWare are true and they're in development of the next Star Wars - but I'm not holding my breath for it. I've given up on MMO's right now... nothing has come close to what Star Wars used to be so until something great comes along... I'm callin it quits.

For me there is 3+ years of memories associated with this game. I dont think anyone is "whining" just because they want to talk about the fact that they miss a game that holds soooo many fond memories. I have many great rl relationships and I have a job that I enjoy...

about learning to move on... well evedently we have moved on. to look back at swg with fond memories does not mean that we did not move on. just means that we probably had a better time making longtime friends in this game... something im sure you dont do very much with that attitude nuff said bout that i believe hehe

fond memories: the awesome moment player mounts became live. getting your first speeder after vehicles became live. testing out your tie/xwing fighter the second the lightspeed beta was open hehe

man i could go on forever haha. still lookin for a good scifi mmo. hopefully there is at least one out there for me haha

Hehe yea that's true. I actually became such a good friend with a guy in my guild we actually met IRL. He traveled all the way from norway to sweden where I live ^^ Great memories allright. Of course you meet friends in other games, but never have I met such friendly people in a game before hehe.

I also want a new sci-fi MMORPG, I kinda hope for a new SWG to come, and I believe it will (gotta be positive ey? ) Otherwise there's Warhammer 40k coming somewhere in the far future. Gotta be worth checking out perhaps

unfortunately I never took any screenshots during the pre-CU days. My bro did, and my fav of his is when he and a bunch of his guildmates took out a gigantic ewok in the coronet starport...you know, back when it was populated.

I took the screen shots while trying out that new trader revamp. I still like the old crafting system. Not much activity online during these time periods. But that is just my opinion.

Oddly there is alot of us that moved on to other games WITH the same people you met in SWG... No joke... AND what is more odd is the people you see in other games that KNOW YOU FROM SWG!???

That to me is just odd... it is a social oddity actually.. The game sucked, they messed it up but a guild or even Multi-Guilds stick together and play WoW or EvE etc..

That alone is kinda funny.

I have a huge screen shot gallery that kills me to look at... each time it just sucks.

And then think about the current game...lol its a joke..

Fellow inactive Veteran here.

I didn't take that many screenies. Didn't know how to for a long time...lol

I did manage to take some of my toon. Wish I took more of my friends and my house. I had a wall of ranged weapons and a wall of melee that I wish I'd screenied. A rare Nak'tra Crystal rifle that I looted on Kashyyyk stood out. My collection of saber crystals and holocrons was fun to look at. Everyone who came in my house was like "Whoa! Where'd you get all those?" Then they'd eventually ask, "Can I have a dark green?" or something similar...lol. If I had sold my holocrons when they had value...I could have been super rich!

I had 2 pieces of the Aurilian sculpture that I earned from quests along with the Aurilian banner set up nicely. The office/den area of my large house was cool, but always incomplete. My unused clone armor and rifle stood off to one side, and a well worn Wookiee robe and hood to the other. In my bedroom were items of Wookiee furniture and other Kashyyyk relics. I had my old battle-scarred Wookiee armor displayed like a set of samurai armor, complete with katana-esque sword (think it was simply called 2h sword in-game). I always loved how the design of the 3 sets of Wookiee armor were inspired by Japanese asthetics.

Alderan flora were in every corner of the house (tried a quest that was disabled many many times before realizing it couldn't be completed...lol). A small back room that I designated my workshop had Anakin's pod-racer helmet, various Rebel flags and clothing that I couldn't wear (b-wing pilot suit, etc...), the 4 different bionic arms that I didn't bother using and all the different crafting kits were displayed to look like they were in use.

Oh yeah...I can't forget the puzzle pieces that made up the Hero of Tatooine scupture. I had them placed atop a torch with the fire dancing out the opening in the top. Of course I always wore the ring.

*sigh*

The more I think about it, the more I am tempted to re-sub just so that I can look at my house and arrange furniture. I know that many friends I once had won't be there...but friends come and go. There is at least one friend who I know is currently in-game. I'm sure my house has been packed up by now....but as long as it doesn't get perma-deleted from SWG servers....I don't feel completely enraged.

I'll find a way to post what screenies I have and hope to see more of the ones that you all have taken over the years.

Alright this thread forced me to go through my old CD-stockpile that i remember ONE having an old WinRaR archive full of SWG screenshots... now i've gotta go through em all to find it!

...and ten minutes later i've gone through the stack to find i've thrown out the CD with all the pictures... WHAT HAVE I DONE!?

On another note the post from ShadowLords gave me a laugh.. "CONSENT ME!!!" Good times.. ehehe...

Does anyone else get faint De'ja vu feelings when they see pictures of SWG sometimes? I get odd feelings i'd felt way back when i first started playing SWG... an excitement i haven't felt in a long time.... I sense a grave disturbance in the force my friends...

Well this is the VET side of the Forum, unfortuanly for some people it means they can only grief about the past, or only say they looked at their old screeny's WELL SHARE THEM MAN!!! don't only cry about it

Show them, evne tho i'm back at current SWG, it is fun right now, but its not hte fun i had back then. Basicly cause it all was new

Ahazi, oh man, how I miss logging in.

My main, Az', was one of the (if not) best Weaponsmiths on the server. I can remember logging in too find tell after tell from customers wanting custom made weapons. I miss my shop, out on Naboo, in the player run city of New Roseholme. Goddamnit, I sometimes fear we'll never see another game like that, and it hurts.

Ive still got my SWG screenshots folder, and like other posters have mentioned I sometimes sit and click through the pics, one at a time. Got screenshots of my weapons, my shop. Pics from out exploring, beta bug photos. Character creation screenshots even.

It kills me so much that Im playing WoW again after reading a thread like this.

I can back up what he's saying. Az' was a kickass weaponsmith. Made my Ahazi toon (Caswell) some nice weapons. Chances are I was using one when I bagged the server's first Jedi bounty.

Hope all is well Az'. Dealing with crafters like you gave me the crafting bug, and I ended up becoming one of the top armorsmiths on Shadowfire. Voted best of '04 in our server forum awards, for whatever that's worth. Got the Jedi bug after that, and eBay'd right after the CU went live. Played WoW for about a year after that with old SWG guildies before we all went our seperate ways.

If the CU had never hit I have a feeling we'd all still be there.
