Sorry but is this bad.

game lags horible on perfect pc , lots of bugs , gameplay is total failure , no  tactics involved very very  ridiculusly fast paced   to do anything that buton mashing, targeting not working , ridiculus op classes ,  matching doesnt working  i was found my self killed all the time in group games before i ever enter from op teams vs newbies and tons more i dont care to mention

in any case i cant tell how much they can imrpove this game , imho needs to bereworked wich they wont do. Game feels like action but x10 speed.

Plus  like vanguard u have casters that can move and nuke and heal them selves hahaah.Plain retarted

Played it for 7 hours, sorry it sucks

The speed definately takes some getting used to, if you are used to slower paced MMOs. It is more reminiscant of FPS games like Unreal Tournament or Quake.

As for your comments about lack of tactics and balance; I spent the weekend playing with some of the regular clans, and quite frankly I was impressed by the amount of thought that already goes into their play at such an early stage. Every class gets used, and i've seen most abilities out in the battlefield.

It sounds like you had a bad experience, and possibly were the victim of one of the frequent mismatches caused by low population. With a high number of players you will find that you are matched against players of your rank, and the competition will be fair and fun. Sadly when the server is a bit quieter (lets face it, it's only beta) it often has to match imbalanced teams to get a game going. It's not a lot of fun for the underdogs, but it's better than no match, and even better when you actually pull off a win.

Not sure where your problems with targeting are coming from either, it's pretty standard 'C = Closest Enemy, TAB = Next Target' style controls.

Hope you give it another go, you might find it grows on you! :)

One of the things I adore about Fury so far is that it is fast paced with brutal combat.  That alone just brings a huge smile to my face.  So far Fury is a game that strays away from the norm.  I like to call this, "developers with balls."  Pretty much every single game to the left of this page cannot say the same thing, except for a couple

The only problem I've had so far is the grueling system requirements.   Even with a 7900GT 256mb nvidia, amd dualcore 4400, 2GB PC3200 DDR, the game at medium settings really bogs down something fierce.  For some odd reason I can't seem to get lower settings to stick, the game will just reset to default.  Hopefully this is something the team is aware of and working on.  Can't play a great game if you can't run it properly

No offense, but when a developer says that their game "grows on you" that's pretty sh*tty. Definetely not a wise choice of words.

The worse than normal performance is something that the team are definitely aware of. Performance will improve significantly in the future as we optimise the game over the next couple of months.

    Not really.

A developer that says  "Everyone will love our game!" would be a developer that's full of crap. Some people will try Fury and love it from the start, for some people it just wont be the game for them. Other people may take a while to get into it.

It was fairly clear that the poster whom I was replying too had tried Fury, and was judging it rather harshly based on the 'early game' experience. I'm not going to give you some marketing spin like "But it's awesome! Everyone should love it!". For some people it simply is a matter of getting into it. Getting used to the charge system, the pace, the lack of classes... etc.

Expecting a developer to be so narrow minded and blinkered demonstrates a rather warped and jaded view about what we do.

I played it all weekend non stop, love it so far.

I like the fast pace, but i'm used to FPS style games, the freedom of movement and the non stop combat is refreshing.

Performance isn't much of an issue for me, i run at roughly 40fps non stop and its beta, god know how much debugging they have going on, performance is only going to get better.

So far, the skills seem pretty basic and since there isn't much information on how the stats and numbers in the game works, it's hard to create proper builds if your trying to accomplish something.  In Bloodbath style games, it's best to be able to kill as fast as possible, once you have that get some way to survive and as long as you can consistantly kill people you can dominate.  But thats Bloodbath.

Vortex requires coordination, I havn't played with a coordinate group since alpha, so most of my time recently has been going through the different trials running constant blood baths.  From what i remeber from alpha, Vortex required you had a few people that had specific roles, someone to run the crystals and another to heal and buff at least.

The game is still very early, the difference in skills isn't to great and the gear is still questionable to me how effective it is, besides giving you more hitpoints, but they have an amazing thing going for them in this game.

The huge variety of skills is whats going to make this game fun.  Creating unique builds for each situation, or trying to craft the "perfect" build will be fun for sure.  I think of this game as Guild Wars w/o the PvE and a funner combat system.

Although, I do wonder how they plan on keeping up the game's lifespan.  With such a PvP centric game, they are going to have some serious guild options and tournaments, because thats the whole game right there.  Otherwise, it may end up as a Quake style release of a game, but if they want to keep a dedicated and strong community, they are going to have good social building blocks, player stats, guild stats, constant tournaments etc. to keep people on their toes, competeing to be number one with their friends :)

Even if they slow down the advancement rate of the game times 10 people will max out in a couple weeks, so a strong high level competive play is whats going to keep this game alive imo, just look at Guild Wars.  But the game is damn fun to play ;D

I like to overlook all the performance issues, and the fact that the first minute of every match I can't move. and I still love the game I've played for the past 3 weekends basically doing nothing but that. and if its going to get better then I am ready.

Can't wait for more testing and improvements, Fury will not appeal to PvE fans because there isn't any O.O

If nothing else this game has some decent community reps. I'm completely surprised that not one, but two of them took the time to respond to the very poorly written and communicated drivel that fell out of the OP.

I'm just passing through, no bias here either. Good show gents :)

Community is a crucial factor of MMO games.

The best ways to raise the community , for Fury, are Ads and low down system requirements :D.

You cannot rate a game just by several hours playing ,especially in beta.

After being semi-excited to test out the preview weekend last week, and getting logged in, eating through the tutorial and jumping straight to a warden, locating the bloodbath warmaster and queuing up... I can honestly say I was having a ball. I blitzed my way from Reborn to Grand Master throughout the weekend, most of the time spent in bloodbath, and some spent in vortex, I was loving every minute of it.

The brutal fast pace takes me straight back into Quake and Unreal Tournament, and on top of that, I have a huge list of abilities to use/equip based on my various needs. I can see so many directions and so many different game modes available just because it's a self-balancing system, when you always have counters to skills, it's not necessarily in the hands of the developer to make a point to show they're balanced but rather for the players to figure it out. It leaves a ton of room for people to jump surprise builds on people, and leave them totally stunned that they just got completely mauled by something that took them off guard.

Needless to say, I will definitely be buying the game and will definitely be playing the beta every chance I get! I won't argue whether it's the best pvp game out there, or heck even the best game out there, but I had some heart-pounding fun and that's really all it comes down to at the end of the day for me, regardless of the game type, if I've had fun, mission accomplished.

    Hats off to you Devs!
