a MMORPG out or coming out soon that has the following?
1) Very indepth storyline. Wherin the players themselves determine what happens next or failing that, a storyline that is actually followed (Not left in the dirt like EQ).
2) Player/guild owned housing or towns? And not the type where I as a player will need to spend RL cash to procure this.(See: Project Entropia) But rather get it ingame either via luck or hard work etc.
3) Skill based characters. Levels are to constricting to me. Grinding sucks. Also I'd rather be able to pick and choose skills vs being forced into a defined role.
4) Prefer Fantasy based vs Sci-Fi
5) Non or Consentual PvP. I play for fun. I know the average 14 year old has faster reflexes than me. I dont want to be reminded :P and also I play only a few hours after work so my character progresses a bit here and a bit there and I dont want to lose a few days of work due to someone elses idea of fun = gank squad.
I posted a subject like this a few days back so I apologize if it's been covered but for the life of me I cant find it anywhere in the forums via the search function

I would of suggested Star Wars Galaxies, but you want Fantasy.
Ultima Online is skilled base... but it's open PvP.
What will he do next?
UO isnt open-PVP. In Felucca it is but the vast majority of people play in Trammel which is no PVP.
I like UO alot, i havent played it in about 2 years but i think it would still be your best bet.
Shit... when I played there was NO option if you wanted to PvP or not... you would walk outside of town and automaticly die if someone was stronger then you.
You had no option... I like that. Sort of like L2 and SB.
I did UO since 1994... Alpha. I played on Atlantic. I think UO is still one of the best MMORPGs out there.
What will he do next?
Dijn, then you are so lucky to play UO at its peak. before Trammel was the glory days, i would give my life to be able to play it like it was 6 years ago.
And to the original poster, UO meets everything you stated but the first one. I dont think youll find a game that meets all of your reqs.
