Better late than never..



My buddy and I have been avid COH/COV players since beta. We've always found the forums to be great places to find character builds but they are always frustrating to search. Also, the value of a good build is pretty subjective.



We recently came up with the idea for a site that allows you to post, rate, and search for builds and only builds. We just launched the site for COH/COV last night. Hopefully it's a useful tool for the community..

    Pretty kool Chad. I am currently getting a custom website built for all 6 of my sg/vg's on multiple servers to band together a large number of players through vent and xfire I'll post a link for this on it when it's done to get you some traffic we are estimateing over 250 members on launch!

    Also, please feel free to post some suggestions or bugs you may find.. Any feedback, good or bad,  is appreciated..

    While having a kick ass character is good, a better question than "Is my build good", would be "am I having fun with my character?"  Having fun at the end of the day is far more valuable, after all its why we pay to play, right?

    Tis' true in the sense that having fun is really the main goal of any game..

     

    Since rating is somewhat subjective (IE what does a 3 or 6 rated build really mean) I'm sure if people put builds on the site that were fun to play they would probably rise to the top of the rankings.. Hopefully the site isn't just for min/max 'ing.. It's really just supposed to be a better tool for finding strong/fun/interesting builds to play..

    I got Mid Hero Designer to get a few of my 50ish build on your website...but it export to the clipboard?

     

    Where can I find this clipboard?  Too many options everywhere!    (I know it is something easy and stupid, once you know where it is, but when you don't...you look at all the potential area to search and goes like...err no thanks).

    He he.. The clipboard is where data is stored when you copy/paste. So if you were to right click and hit paste (or control v) you'd copy your build from the clipboard to the webpage, document, etc..

    Looks good, and definitely a good idea. I search the official forums for builds and guides, but they're not very well organized.

    2 of my levels 50 are on your website...the other will take longer to follow, as I am unsure as to what to change on them...

     

    My Merc/FF MM I don't play much...my Elect/Ela is my main, but I mess a lot around so have to plan carefully now with limited respec remaining...My BS/Regen I don't play much lately...my Thug/Dark is still only 45...

     

    And my 8 others are lower, and I don't like focusing on a non-50!  Bad bad me.

    Hi everyone..

    I've been trying to contact Mid (http://www.onthejazz.co.uk/hu/mhd.php) about some stuff. He's not responding to my email. That either means he doesn't care or answer to that email address

    If there are European players here who wouldn't mind sending him a PM through the forums I would appreciate it. I think his name is Midnight in the forums.

    I already posted a link to that website stating how useful it could be once more games are added and such, but unfortunately i received a warning from mmorpg.com for spamming my website (which isnt even mine, nor do i benefit from it) even though i posted only once just saying that i liked the idea. oh well. cheers (please add more mmos!)

    Heh.. Yeah, I noticed that! I saw your post in the general forum and then all the sudden it disappeared...

    Lame..

     

    Thanks for the props though.. I'm working on more games.. Any suggestions?
