The Burning Crusade apparantly hasn't been released in China yet, so how do they keep up with their level 60 "lowbies"? Working 14+ hours a day is a start, but still... Gambling in the auction house is one thing (I had made 2000+ gold at level 35 by doing this), but these guys must be grinding with characters ten levels lower than "everyone else". How do they access the European/American servers which already have the TBC stuff? I'm sure the answer is obvious, but it's a bit slow in the Gray Matter Department today...

They rent accounts from lapsing players in North America ... pay you in gold for each week/month they can use the account. Although Blizzard are now warning and banning accounts that are accessed from multiple IDs and that are online 24hours a day.
A-ha! I feel enlightened already.
I have never heard of this. Are you serious? I have 4 accounts, all with 70's, and never have I run across this. Link please? Not that I dont believe you, but I would like to know more about it.
Blizz have IP blocking in place, some 1 from china cannot play on a US account and vis-versa, gold is not transferable between servers.. this is why I laugh when people say WoW is 90% gold farmers.

There are multiple ways around this fyi. Most of the powerlevelling services even advertise that they have US ip's.

I am glad you are so knowledgeable! However, I don't think anyone has said "wow is 90% gold farmers" 30-40% is more reasonable, which is still a boatload, saying 50% might be overdoing it... they don't farm on there own servers to trade to someone on an American/Eur server (doesn't make much sense ) but they have accounts on US/Eur realms, you are asking, how do they get these accounts?! Well, they either scam accounts, (the attempts at keylogs you see on your in-game mail, and on forums) ... if you have played WoW before, you would know, there are gold spammers all over...on my realm, Kel Thuzad, I get a whisper about every two to three minutes, of spam, i get about 5-10 in-game mail from gold spammers, there are gold farmers spamming the trade channel, and the funniest is how they have bots who run straight into a city, and start /yelling gold spams on top of the bank. Thus why I quit.
Though we have heard of stupid haste in war, cleverness has never been seen associated with long delays.

Gold farming doesn't only occur in China. Mexico has lots too (sounds funny, but I actually read an article about it.) There are gold farmers in lots of 3rd world places other than China.

AAH! A troll fire! Quick, pour some Kool-Aid on it!!!
cause they work 14 hours a day 8 days a week for 25 cents an hour.
Some starve to death, while others become chain smokers because they go crazy from the heat.
To the poor sucker who does this kind of work, Chinese or not, please get yourself a real job. There is no future in this area and soon your accounts will all be banned.
This happens all the time, actually. I know a guy I went to school with who was leader of a 300+ person raid guild, and he decided to rent his account while he was on vacation for a week... he was banned before the second day was through. They deleted all of the characters on his account (including the guild bank) and even blocked his credit card so he couldn't register a new account. The true irony, however, is that the gold-farming company paid him about $6 for the time spent on his account.
Having said that, I'd also like to point out that Burning Crusade was released in Korea, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan already, which I'm sure makes up a huge portion of the farmers. No doubt, combined with the above methods, they're able to keep the market satisfied.
