Since CoV so much latency, is it better?

Hello!
Back in the day until about thirty days into playing with City of Villains the game ran perfect. CoV comes along and it is almost as if they redo the entire game engine. :-( Thus crippling my computer. Does Issue 10 bring any fixes to this yet? Also have they brought about Character Transfers to another server yet? Since then my computer has undergone some signficant upgrades:
Intel 3ghz Processor /1gb RAM / Radeon X1950 512mb Video / WinXP
Granted those specs are improved I am very leery how well the game will run. Can anyone give some tips? About three months ago I came back for maybe a weekend, during one of those events, and the drawback was the Protector Server was practically empty :-( Have they done any server mergers? Are my characters merged somewhere?

No mergers, but they'll be implementing paid character transfers soon (if not already, sorry can't remember) for $9.95.
I have what I consider to be a decent rig and I still get lag in CoV from time to time. AMD 64 3000+, 2G RAM, 7900GS. Lag is usually confined to outdoors unless I'm on a full team in a mish.

I run both CoH and Cov on specs alot worse than what you said you're computer is and it runs almost flawlessly

Hey Kerusso,
A few things come to mind:
1) latest video/audio drivers 8-)
2) keep your system optimized (do not run 2 or 3 anti-virus progs etc. - one is demanding enough, depending on which one
)
3) Villains introduced, I think, the Depth of Vision (no clue what it's really named - in fact - probably 'World Detail') slider - I had to cut it in 2 at the time, especially in the Arachnos environments
4) Sound - this can really cripple you if you have a low-end on-board card - turn all sound off see if it matters much; if so, get a separate - decent is good enough, do not need high-end - sound card (if you do not have one already) maybe?
5) Recently noticed (I returned after doing some other MMORPG) that there is now a general setting for Video and Audio - slider takes a default setting; you really always want to tweak all settings yourself, I respectfully suggest. So turn that thing off and go experiment and watch the frame rate with some free mutility 8-).
If none of this helps, call yourself Robin James or Jesse Hood for a day or 2, rob a FRP*, and buy the highest-end system you can find

PPS Added with Edit: servers getting busier but Villains not as busy as Heroes. One way is: play Vils in weekends. Or wait a bit, I think the game is growing rather fast again (much new content and positive reviews attracting many peeps).
