Do a harvestor run. Go shopping for some new duds, decorations and armor.

Great time on the hunt that only set me back 4 hours, lol.

Yes, it is another one of those posts, I can't help it.
Everyday I log on to different forums, in hopes that the news that alot of us have been waiting for will be there. "SOE is pleased to announce that we will be opening one "Classic" server". I thought after one year this feeling would have subsided, but no. In some ways it is stronger. I still have the program on my machine, and I stare at the SWG icon sometimes, and it brings me back.
Sorry for another one of these, but I needed to vent.

Sure, I miss my prime gaming periods in other games, and lament the lost feeling of immersion of my MMO youth, but to keep going on and on and on ... ?

Anyway, this is a public forum, pretty much and it's also called "SWG Veteran Refuge", for a reason.

Well for me its more about the lies and the "justification" for the NGE.
The truth was simply withheld from us. Finding out 2 weeks before the NGE went live is unaccpetable in my opinion. SOE should have been honest and transparent with us but they chose decepetion.
I simply want them to be accountable, and they haven't done that to my satisfaction yet. If we do not insist on holding them accountable then they will undoubtedly do what they did to SWG again to any of their other games.
SOE has set a very dangerous precedent with the NGE, and to not speak out against it is to accept it.
This is my first post in well over a month. SOE wil never admitted Fault and posting here will do you no good. SWG NGE is the fools folly and if it was not for the fact that I am about to cash in on this I would like many others have given up on Pre Cu Severs .
I have a few suprises left. SOE let in begin. Texas hold'em will not be the only game in town next week in Sin city because the Jestor is Wild!

It's kinda like pining over an old girlfriend. Sucks for awhile, but then you meet someone new!
The only problem is all the other games out there are 400 pound women that are 4 feet tall. Its hard to replace something that was a super model with a fast food queen.
Does anyone actually think posting in a non-SOE forum means their message will be read by SOE? I thought the purpose of the forum was to be able to vent, not get in touch with the uncaring SOE...
It's not the fact that I lost a game that bothers me, it's all the friends and the fact that no developer has had the guts yet to try and accomplish the same thing Pre-Cu SWG was trying to accomplish, they haven't offered us anything new, I am sick of seeing the same game over and over, the same crappy grindfest because developers can't be bothered thinking the way we did back then, that games were JUST games, not sodding business enterprises. I remember when I could go into a games store without being ID'd for my age, pick up any random game, buy it, take it home and play it, if I didn't like It I didn't like it, there wasn't all this piss take with the different companies that couldn't care a shit about their customers there wasn't these laws that FORCED people to get crappy little kiddy games, I literally have to order of the internet now because I'm not even old enough to get a proper ID yet and I'm not going to go handing my passport or card to some random stranger just because the government says so.
As far as I'm concerned, when the Pre-Cu SWG that I played went, so did the idea that games were just games went, they're no longer treated as games anymore, just business enterprises and that's why we get these jackass companies who just want to take our money away.

SOE has alot of influence here , You should see my list of questionable bans to support the fact that SOE has an interest here.
and why would I pay $15.00 a month to post on their forums. No more money for SOE unless they produce Pre- CU Servers and that appears to be half past never.

Very true, most MMO's are the same collection of CRAP coding and ideas with different art and characters...
There are some new ones being developed though that seem to understand that and are going in different directions. Check out Infinity, FireFly, and to some degree Age of Conan... The Bioware MMO will be even if it isn't KOTOR, they are usually very innovative.
By 2009 we will all be playing a new MMO that will hopefully let us forget what has happened to SWG.
If not, I hope an upstart gets the rights to SWG and rolls back the servers.
I think if it was unhealthy companies like mmorpg.com wouldn't make a forum JUST FOR THIS, and call it the veteran refuge and spefically state its for vets to discuss how SWG was...
jeezus, you act like having good memory is a crime. let alone sharring good memroies with fellow players that were there and miss those same things.
