Metin2 Open Beta

Metin2 OB is being released on the 27th of July which isn't far off.

Metin2 appears promising, and having played the CB I find it an enjoyable game. There's been a lot of critics floating around lately slandering "Asian MMO's" but give it a chance before you judge.

We need more people, especially on the forums. During Closed Beta the strongest and favourable side was Dendera (You choose between three kingdoms when joining which in return war eachother) which is Blue, but it now seems the favourable side is going to be red.

I'm here to say join the metin2 forums and wait with the rest of us, choose wisely which side you wish to be on though I'm choosing blue and I am hoping all of you do also, because we need some intelligent, friendly Dendera supporters on the forums.

Let us unite together on blue!

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Daniel

A bunch of us from DarkFall OT forums are giving the Open Beta a try as well. We liked the pvp action and want to take a further look.

If anyone wants to join us, a friend has let us use his guild's website and teamspeak so we can give it a go.

Feel free to register here and post in the Metin 2 section.  http://www.c-l-a-w.org/

I'll be giving out the password for ts in game...friend Reckin when you get in game if your interested.

We have chosen the RED kingdom Milgaard. Same as CB.

I read the system requirements page and nearly had a heart attack.  It looked like it said 'Pentium 3800' but it was actually displayed as 'Pentium 3 800 MHz', so if someone that runs the site is reading this, perhaps change it to look like the following; 'Pentium 3 - 800 MHz' ?

Sounds awesome but I'm joining Blue.

Just so you know, there's been huge discussions on the offical forums and there are already a large number of Chinese/Korean players joining red (Because it;s the colour of their flag) and a group of people that played the CB joining red also, so I personally think you're going to have a tough time finding places to level up quickly.

Chinese players have already said they plan on playing 24/7 and don't require food or water (A joke I suppose in other words they plan to power game hard).

Just letting you know in efforts to perhaps change your decision and join the blue kingdom.

    Feel free to PM me.

    Cheers.

Coming in and hour and 15 minutes  Man I can't wait for it. By the way I saw that typo too, not sure if they fixed it yet though. I might join blue or the other color kingdom... not sure what it is I like being part of the minority

Combat system gets an "A" from me, very unique and fresh. Only played a few levels bu pvpI can already see is going to take a lot of skill .

Its a point and click combat system................and with auto attack option you dont really have to do much.

it is more then just point and click if you actually tried the game. Holding down the left mouse  as your attacking makes you swing is any direction you move the mouse. Which is not point and click fighing , so instead of just standing in on spot and doing attacks you can move all around to what is targeted and it doesn't target lock when you are doing this giving you free movement.  Plus you can hold down the left mouse and be swinging away and then hit you magic attacks as well. It is like AOE all the time , and I like it.

So yes Point and click to move but/or you can just hold down the left button and move and attack . I've never seen a system like it...

It is actually more efficient to just point and click lol

I disagree, the system is pretty fresh imo. I think you are going by Asian mmo Stereotyping more so then actually playing the game.

Not really I have it installed on my computer still :)

Sure you do. Anyways some of the other aspects are cool as well like the way the mobs go to the ground, it is really cool, add a little more to a battle, i'm sure it will add in the pvp as well. Graphics are the minus, very spares and very underdeveloped in visual quality.

Game looks great, but a little bit hard to lvl, anyways, the lvl still the part of fun in game~

  • CognetoJoeCognetoJoe Member Posts: 446

Im still checking the game, it is pretty fun for mindless slash and hack, the animations are done well and it seems when you zoom the camera a decent ways back you can get an idea of what they where going for graphically.  Kind of like a guanlet slash your way through stuff and level up and get skills and atr points.

Metin 2 will appeal to pwnzor crowd because of the pvp and rock music in the back ground. Think someone said "cabal would of been a hit" and playing this game and knowing cabal had superior graphics, Cabal for the NA probably would of done well. fsirly small download is nice 2. Interface is clean and the icon are readable.  I giive Metin 3/5 stars
