Where can I get the Original EQ?

   Well, the EB i live next to has one... So i'm sure other places do as well. Depending on the shipping cost, you could order it. I'm really not sure where to download the game though.

  Yeah, so far I have had no luck finding a downloadable version. Best deal I have found so far was on the Sony website where they have the original for $5. I just wanted to see if there was some way where I could get it a bit quicker but that might be the way I should go. What pisses me off the most though is something one of their advertisements said in my new PC Gamer (Aug 2004, has Dungeon Siege II on the cover). It's an SOE advertisement on pg. 15 for the new expansion pack Omens of War, and at the bottom it says:

  Never Played Everquest?

  Download 30 Day Free EverQuest Trial

  www.everquest.com

  Obviously it doesn't work or I wouldn't be asking here.

  I wondered about that too when I saw it in PC gamer

  The only thing I Can think of is it wont work until August since that is the month of the edition of the magazine..?...maybe.

  I also saw a copy of the first eq at walmart for 9.99

  I know it works now, but they just added it up on their website a day or two ago. I saw the ad for it in my magazine close to a week ago. I guess they just didn't think they would arrive so quickly so it wasn't up yet. No problems now.

  It isn't a contest or anything by PC Gamer, it was just an advertisement from SOE about their new expansion pack with a little box at the bottom talking about 30 days free. From what it looks on the Everquest website you can just download it and play for 30 days.

  I got off my lazy ass and went to the site to explore it myself hehe...yea it can be downloaded for a month free they are just doing it on a specific server but hell why not.
