Well my favourate mmo ive been playing since it went retail is EvE online. It is difacult to get into partly because of the time it takes to 'level up' your charecter but if you stick with it and find a good corp at the start you will rreach the stage where you can take advantage f the wealth of content. And there is a LOT of content in eve.
Also EvE is increasing in subscriber numbers every month and EvE is constantly getting new content added including a free expansion each year. So this shows that EvE is a healphy game so wont die on you when you pay yor subscription. So if you want to give eve a go get the 2 week free trial and see what you think.

anyone know how EVE is? I have read some reviews, they said it sucked and it takes days to lv? O also, how well would it run on a laptop....
Days to level eh? Sort of the point of most MMO's...but the good news is that EVE has no levels.... but you do train up skills, and some of them can take a lot longer than days to level. Older reviews might say it sucked...I think you'll find more recent ones have been more favorable) The good news is...it plays just fine on most laptops....I run two instances on my older Dell Inspiron gaming notebook.
EVE's got a lot of great points, I started up 2 months ago and really enjoy the game.... but its not for everyone, and it is designed to be played for the long haul. I recommend you give the 15 day free trial a go.........

I am having the same problem while I wait for WAR. My solution has been to go back to the classics. I am playing Chrono Trigger right now, after having just finished FFV, and NWN 1.
Anyone try Anarchy Online? Kinda an MMOFPS, f2p after you buy the game. Pretty fun, but the trade system is messed up. To make something, you have to take 5 random parts, use one w/ the other, and that will make 1/3 of what you need. It's wierd. Pretty fun sci-fi MMOFPS though.
Same boat here. All the cookie cutting mmog's out same thing different dress. Its boring. The game play mechanics haven't progressed since companies are milking it to the dull end of time. Its like remaking a movie over and over again, when you've seen it a few times there is nothing more to expect or look forward to.
There are a few companies that are trying to raise the bar with a twitch based mechanics system but, who knows if they will be able to release anything anytime soon.
Try the game in my sig. its free and has twitch based combat. Id suggest just following what other folks do in the beginning. Its all online and its got sick pvp combat.
Remember to look at your controls cause there are buttons to zoom in on a few weapons like lightning wand and marksman bow etc. Or how to manually block or leap attack...

Savage is very fun, only played the first one.
But the thing with this game, is that you would need a good clan or something to really make it fun.
Or play it at LAN, which is epic fun.
Ive recently started on SWG, and its not that bad... Hoping to see some good PvP action soon.

Play through some of the TES games. TES = The Elder Scrolls.
Then when you are done go grab Oblivion, again, and get some mods for it. Then you can play through it again and again.
