   What have they changed since the release?? I really liked how EQ1 you had to go out and find your spells from different trainers, Not just Boom.. you hit lvl 20...your new spells poped into your book. Also during release, I noticed most people were'nt that nice to strangers...I hope this has changed.

  Also could a complete noobie with no friends .. starting with nothing... have fun in todays EQ2??

    That doesn't happen above lvl 50 or so.

    Also you only get apprentice level 1 spells upto lvl 50.

    Not something you want to go around with, you need to update them asap to higher levels.

    notiseable changes i did see when coming back to it  after playing outher mmo games for awhile whas

    - no longer a subclass system, where you pick a class at lvl 10 & 20.

    -  the forced to group part is gone, can solo the game now, if that is what some people want!

    - pvp servers for special intrests (gank fest)

     

    eq2 still use the tier based skill rank system..

    but i think it is unique, sence most outher games use the style you mentined (buy everything from vendor style)
