Well maybe u should add "other" to you poll? 5 games out of (insert number here) doesnt really make it a true vote of the worlds greatest mmorpg, does it?
But by the looks of your post maybe u are just beeing ironic, hard to tell.

WOW is gonna win it regardless. If you did the same poll on an asian-based site, then Ragnarok Online would probably take it (50 Million USERS! 99.99999999999% in Asia, lol).

There is no such thing as the "best" mmorpg, its a matter of taste.
WoW has 9 million subscribers worldwide.
Lineage 2 has 14 million subscribers worldwide.

Ultima Online is the oldest, and best equiped for role playing and therefore the best role playing game!
I'd say UO, DAoC, WoW, EVE and FFXI are the best. After playing all of these pretty thoroughly, I enjoy EVE the most as an MMO.

Not on the list, but ill say EQ2 and EVE. EQ2 being the most fun without the grinding feeling or race to the top level, and EVE for its depth.
Finally I found people that agree with me. Unlike the other company's major announcement, EQ2 and it's expansions really deliver. Call me a fanboi, I see it coming, but it's still the best value and it's showing in the upswing in numbers online. At least you get a quality expansion every year now, you also get rewards for time played and you don't have to wait 2 years for a total disappointment and pay $50 for it. This flavor of EQ is also I believe, one of the few, if any mmo's SOE has actually had control of from the very beginning, so they aren't as lame as others portray them to be. They just need more people trained to spot a bad investment to avoid another Vanguard.

The best MMORPG is evidently the Saga of Ryzom
There is hardly a better community in any other MMORPG! The graphics is aqwesome and the skill system is unparalleled.

In my opinion the best game (That I've played) is Final Fantasy XI. Final Fantasy XI allows you to interact with a wide community, most of your objectives can only be overcome with a team effort and thus makes you force to resort being around other people and interacting.
I voted WoW. Yes I know, I'm going to hell but out of the picks, it IS the best of that group, to me.
LoTRo is just way too devoid of content and stale.
FFXI is great...if you don't mind spending 10 hours lfg, and 30 minutes playing before your healer bails. And the interface is kinda clunky since it's half built for PCs, half for consoles.
MXO: The good idea that wasn't. Beta was awesome, but the world is just pretty yet amazingly dull.
RO...don't get me wrong I loved RO. But it had the same twitch mentality other Asian MMOs do, and it was too full of bots and 10-yr olds to stand for long.
WoW is best...i've never played like this game...hehe
The only reason why WOW is the best is because of how old it is, and how much content they have in the game. I think they are back petting now because of all the new MMO’s being release. I think you will see new content coming out faster and faster as more of the new Gen of MMO's are being release, it's not like they don't have the money hehehe.
I think EvE is also one of those games that has an edge over everyone because of the none Typical Sword and Orc crap
A guild war is another game that is quite different and has a edge because it is free, but the content is very week and i get tired of the spamming because of the lack of a AH. but i do have all games and will buy the next one. but you can finish them in a 2 months or less. There biggest problem is everyone looks the same.
Lord of the Rings. Great story line, but if you played WOW it would not be over the top. If you’re new to MMO I would recommend it

I think all the games are great. WOW has an edge on most only because of the Content. WOW i think at ths point will not gain ground because of the weak graphics and this is becoming a hot topic. i wish they would keep everything the same and just add a new engine, how hard could it be with Billions in the bank. Bliz would never do that because at this point Bliz can do whatever it wants. and if WOW 2 ever comes out in the next 10 years I can tell you it would be even bigger than the last just due to its fan base.
I left WOW for a while once I made it to 70, just went back and it was fun again. ALL ALLY MUST DIE hehehe
