I like Bush because America is finally standing up for itself. I am tired of letting other countries slap us around and we do nothing.

It is BS. 'Bout time we started kicking some ass.

But, before all that happened, I have liked Bush for his personality. He is a down to earth kinda guy. Not trying to be perfect, not trying to hide his problems. He is personally likeable.

Oh no you didn't! Bush is the worst thing that has ever happened to this country.

-Our military budget is bloated

- 17% of america now believes Bush is the Antichrist

- we've lost over 500 soldiers in a futile and unjust war in Iraq.

- our international standing is officially in the toilet, and we have alienated some of our closest allies - namely the Nato pact countries.

-We've also killed 1000's of innocent civilians in our self-righeous hubris.

-Our debt is out of control. We have spent 100's of billions of dollars to occupy and oppress the nations of Afghanistan and Iraq.

-We detain literally 100's of people in Guantanamo bay and other locales, and apparently are going to hold them indefinatly without trial, or access to counsel, two of the things our nation prides itself on.

- We have instituted the Patriot Act, giving the government unprecedented Big Brother power over us.

- The Bush administration has authorized the use of torture on iraqis suspected of having information we want. Torture is expressly forbidden by the Geneva Convention, of which we are a signatory. A memo was leaked from the gov, saying that the president can violate any international treaty, including the Geneva Convention.

- Oh, and the best one, the Bush administration has lied since 2001 about the nature of Iraq. We claimed, in front of our own people and the international community that Iraq had WMD's. They did not. Bush and Cheney claimed that Iraq was linked to 9/11 and Al Quaida. They were not. Bush then claimed that we had a right to invade Iraq because Saddam was a "bad man." We have, and are currently torturing Iraqis in the same facilities Hussien used.

I have more, but for length, I leave that with you. I urge anyone who supports bush to reconsider your position.

One's political allegiances should not get in the way of truth. I'm very open to other views, but not to those who won't offer a shred of evidence, and simply diss me. I was trying to be civil, when I could have been real nasty, so why don't you do the same?

Taskyzz - I'll remain as civil as possible. If that is what you truly believe, then you are a sickened individual. I can understand patriotism and loyalty in the face of 9/11, but if you are unable to care about your fellow human being, then you and those hijakkers have something in common. 1. I work for Pfizer, i make a pretty decent living, not Rich but in good shape. A few months after Kerry takes office i will pay $10,000+ more in taxes to go to welfare crack addicts, who had everybit of a chance to work as the rest of us. Im sick of hearing, "O, we are suppressed" Get over it and make a difference quit bitching and asking for handouts. Few countries offer the opportunities that our country does.

2. People like Michael Moore referred Terrorists to, the American Minutemen. He constantly bashes our country, and has done so repeadetly while getting his Fat A$$ super rich. If he tried that in Iran he would be buried in a hole waste up, and stoned to death.

3. The democrats are going to liberal. The best candidate for them, would have been Lieberman. But he was to moderate for what the national democratic party is going towards. So now they got Keryy who has pictures of himself holding and upside down American flag, and throwing war medals. Clinton himself is seperating himself from the far left, not denouncing the war like Al Gore did, so his wife will have a chance of becoming president. To win you need to pick up moderate votes. This is why you will not see Moore campaigning with Kerry, it would damage Kerry more than help him.

4. The economy is rebounding. Why on earth would i vote a president out if the economy is on the rise again, to replace him with someone else and a different cabinet.

5. Someone said Unjust War in Iraq. HorseSh!t. No one on the far left even wants you to hear about the good things that are happening in Iraq. There will be a 20 day coverage on a beheading or a carbomb. But nothing is being said about Iraq haveing more electricty now, and the kids being able to go to school.

I for one will vote for a better president if i think thats what we are offered. But i dont see that in Kerry. With lieberman i could have possibly been swayed. I guess it could have been worst, they almost nominated Dean.

Many things that Moore(and kerry for that matter) are lies and moore really does hate his country. However, Bush is just as bad. His iraq war was unjust, and he did it for money(big industry friends) and power. By going to Iraq, Bush also gets a position in the middle east and a way to scare the american people in getting losing more rights(paritot act1-2). A nation doesn't attack another nation to "help the people". Look at history! Rome said the same thing. NOT 1 american life was worth the Iraqi "freedom". You want to spill your blood in some third-world hell whole? Do you honestly think that the average iraqi had anything to do with 9/11(many of which are dying)? There was a very small if any tie between saddam and al queda. Saddam in fact was not a radical muslim, he was keeping the radicals(Shiite muslims) down. There were many other middle eastern nations far far more involved then Iraq. Iran, Saudi, Syria among others were a much bigger supporter of terror. Al queda is a terroist organization not limited to one country. If we want to rid the world of al queda we would have to destroy half of europe. There are cells everywhere. Why did we pick iraq? The sad thing is the poor man is dying in iraq. I don't see Bush's daughters out there. I don't see the congressman's sons out on the front lines. Before these damn politicans go to war, they need to be ready to sacrifice. I promise you that overnight Iraq would end. In reponse for 5, comparing a situation to the very worst is a bad strategy. If i compared a thief and a murder and then said "the thief isn't as bad!", does that make the thief a good person? The toture was wrong, and just beacuse saddam did worse, doesn't make it right. To a Arab mind, the torture is specially bad, as being naked and having a women control you is a big slap in the face. How you feel to be treated that way and you did nothing wrong. If we go into Iraq as a man in white, we need to act that way(especially when your there to help the "people"). We, however, have not.

7fold - Thank you.

1. Sorry but no compromise here. Sure some welfare people are on crack, but most are not. Consider the people who need welfare. Not everyone has a high-school/college diploma, and considering that many americans are unemployed, a bum on the street is not likely to get a job.

2.. Terrorists=American Minutemen? Stretch, I'll agree w/you on that one, but consider this - both were fighting against a global superpower (GB,USA), both were overwhelmingly outnumbered, both were fighting for freedom for thier respective peoples + both were espousing pretty radical ideas (Democracy, Imperial-Free Unified Islamic State) .

5. I said the war in iraq was unjust. True they are better off, but my problem comes from invading on false pretenses w/o the U.N, + forcing a U.S. style constitution on them.

Putin - The United States Congress, that has been behind bush from the beginning, says there was NO link. If a pro-bush body says no link, it is very likely true. Little tidbit of info here, Saddam and Osama hate each other. Osama - Unified Islamic State, Hussien - Dictatorial Secular State, ruled by hussein.

Non-Geneva convention army - The point is, we are supposed to be better than they are. We signed the Geneva convention, and should follow it, if we want to hold ANY moral high ground. From the shear point of winning this war, we NEED the Iraqi people and the rest of the world to trust us. If we break a pact we signed in good faith, we will NEVER have that trust.

6. I agree with you there. I'm ultra-liberal and have NO idea what Kerry stands for. He wouldn't denounce the war, but is he in support? I don't know, and that scares me almost as much as bush. I can't in sound mind and good conscience vote for either, so I guess that leaves Nader, LOL.
