First day playing, thoughts so far

Well though i wasnt to excited when i first saw this game, I can say the complete opposite after actually trying it out.
I just started the game today only played for bout 2-3 hours today, and to be honest i havent had this much fun since CoH first came out.
I spent the first half hour just lvling on the starter island by myself, trying to figure the game out, around 7 or 8th lvl i grouped with another who said he was also new to the game, and it was really fun hunting in some hidden zone he found that had seemingly hundreds of mobs for just us two to just plow through. We finished off our quest, made it to lvl 10 then went to the mainland.
We went our seprate ways then and i was trying to find how to get to Perion to train to be a warrior, well like a full blown noob i ended up taking the taxi straight to the world dungeon where i did not last long of course. I got help though a nice 40 lvl cleric took me all the way to perion totally free, and then even went so far as to buy me a full deck of armor and weapons, potions, and some cash. He even gave me tons of tips on how i should build my character.
Overall, i think despite the way the game looks, its better than most games out right now imho. The graphics while cartoony and 2d, are stunningly cute, especially the facial emotes and being the anime fan i am i love it. The community so far that i have expirenced, is kind and helpful, and at times silly. Im not much of a fan of the "kill 100 of this and that" quest but its somthing i think people can get over if they enjoy the combat system, which is entertaining to me so far. And the game doesnt feel like to much of a grind atm, seeing how i dont have to camp any area and i can keep moving forward while hunting.
This game definently isnt for everyone, but its made it into my top 10 of mmo's so it isnt crap lol. If your thinking of trying this game you really should instead of judging it by looks and what other people say, and definently get involved in the community in the game, it adds a whole lot of fun while your playing.

Trust me. The grind should be kicking in just about around Lv.20
I thought I'd tire of Maple by now.
But I've recently picked up a guild and some regular players from another MMO I enjoy. Now it's quite fun to play Maple,if only for the social aspect. And that I'm still in the 20-30 level range.
It must have that simple charm about it.
This game is pretty much just a time killer for if you have nothing better to do. It requires no player skill and how well you do/how strong you are is only determined by your rank/abilities. If you enjoying running around and hitting 2 buttons all day without thinking then this is for you, otherwise go play Fury.
Well I'm glad 2 c u enjoy this game. It just goes 2 show u, u cant judge a game by its graphics. Although it is a bit of a timekiller.... but what game isn't?
i play MS and i have a lv 35 charc. i first off lv 1-10 it was fun and fast lvling. but later at the mid 10-20 it was slow and boring. slash and jump lol. and 30-35 was a pain in the As. and i was felt sleeping while trying to kill some mushroom mummies. but If ur like age of 10-13 this is your game. alot of annoying kids with bad manners. and ton of hacker/botter. make the game even suxer then it is. but this game still fun while it last for me.

and somhow i havent got defamed once for ksing, O_o, lmao

Maplestory is a side-scrolling 2d mmo that is free but there's some goods and somebads about this game I want to talk about.The good:It is a free mmo and is actually really fun (until you get to lvl 20 the grind kicks in)you can own a house and pet and equip your pet with stuff.Lot's of things to do like mini-games.Community is outstanding.I made a friend on the 2'nd day I played maplestory!Thebad:Takes a long LONG time just to reach one lvl.If you want to own a pet you have to purchase nexon cash or go into some bogus event to get maplepoints which you can use in the cash shop also.
Which ppl can care less about the cash shop. also, not a lot of updates are done except once in a while add some new towns AND of coarse add more items to the un-wanted cash shop.
So basically maplestory is a descent mmo and can be enjoyed by just people who want a game to kill some time(like me!!) But for hardcore gamers,I would'nt recommend it.Peace.
