Hello, I played WoW for around a year and loved every bit of it until the last month or so, and I was thinking of starting DAoC. Is this game alot like WoW? Do you raid and do instances at level cap for better gear? Does this game have exotic armor skins and weapons? All help will be greatly appreciated.

Um, DAoC predates WoW by about 3 years. This is THE PvP MMORPG and there hasn't been anything like it since. This is the game that invented RvR (realm vs. realm) PvP. Check out Mythic's website for a more indepth explanation. WoW borrowed some of its PvP elements (battlegrounds, for example) from DAoC and dumbed them down, but otherwise the two games do not have a lot in common outside of the fact that they are both 3D MMORPGs. WoW is PvE-centric whereas DAoC is PvP-centric. Congratulations on finally getting bored with WoW though. It's a great game but its definitely time for a breath of fresh air in the world of multiplayer online gaming.
Seconded.
As far as PvE dragon raids are the in thing now with Mythic/EA "A Dragon's Revenge" Camelot Campaign. Upon completion You'll receive a full set of dragon quest armor, necklace, cloaks etc... A lot of very good "non bind on equip/pickup" tradable loot is also dropped and /rolled on after most dragon raids.
With the labyrinth expansion there are several very nice one time drops that everyone involved in the raid receives. Most of these are also tradable. There are a few drops that are bind on equip within labyrinth but most are merely luxury items.
The TOA servers, which have a lot more PvE content to offer, have had their difficulty lowered significantly. Master level raids which used to take hours and masses of people now only take a little over a group or two and are much quicker.
The Catacombs expansion has a popular 8 person instance called Darkspire which is like WoW. There are others, but Darkspire raids are the most common.
The beginning quest up to around level 12 - 14 are very much like WoW, but afterwards its more or less a grind.
The good looking mounts, say compared to the Warlock epic mount, will cost you an arm and a leg. They don't offer anything more than the basic brown horses, just an added fun factor.
Of course, imho, this is all for templating for the end game of RvR. With 3 different realms with a combined total over over 35 classes, not to mention races, you may find something you like.
There are good guilds that hold weekly pl session, pve raids, and a lot of rvr action, you'll just have to take a little time to seek them out.
Seconded.

I'm not a mean or direspectfull person, so don't take it that way. I will be more than happy to answer your questions about this game, but you should have some basic knowledge of what this game is about first. You should research more on this game by reading camelotherald.com, the overviews and reviews on this site and other threads in the forum. If you have any questions after you do the basics (reading up on the game), feel free to ask again.
