Stop it.. you guys debating over WoW and EQII are amazing. Hate to break it to you, the concept behind each game is the same for both games. Make a character, grab a sword (or cast a spell) kill mob, learn new skill, kill bigger mob. OMG Genious. They are the same game, I have yet to see anything new to come from either game.. its all been done before. The only thing seperating the games is who can put it alll into one game and polish it the best. And this is where the personal preference comes in. You don't like the game don't play it. I don't care which game you like, there will NEVER be a best game.

The meer fact that EQ2 is a totally new game and everything has changed from EQ.
The greaphics are stunnin and who wants a game with the WoW graphics lol those are the worst graphics ever i rather play Guild Wars than WoW and its free also.
EQ made the first in MMORPGS and everybody else is still learning from it to make their step into it and now its BLizzard thats trying to get into mmorpgs. Unless WoW has the experience that EQ had they will never become another EQ.

I am no WoW fan, or EQ2 fan, and couldnt care any less about either game to be honest. But why do people insist that one game is the best ever. THEY ARENT EVEN RELEASED YET. And experience counts for very little these days, because (and i dont know if this is true or not) i bet you half the team who worked on EQ are not working on EQ2, and i also would bet that Blizzard have hired people who have experience at making MMORPG's to at least help in the production of WoW.
Also graphics do not make a game, if you want graphics go and rent Lord of the Rings on DVD, thats got good graphics and little game play so must keep you amused as you watch the same pretty sequence over and over and over again.
And EQ wasnt the first MMORPG, it is simply one of the better known.

This is a dumb argument, there are people who will like each one for many reasons. I for one am on the fence and will probably take a long look at both of them before deciding which gets my money for a while.

My friend is a beta tester and thats what the ppl do there quests quest quest quest. WHO Cares about quests.
And finaly u can obtain like that best weapon in the game after like 1 month of playing how LAME.
The better one for me will be the one I play!
EQ2 appeals to me a lot more than WoW. Of course, there will be a shitload more MMORPGs out later this year besides EQ2 and WoW, so who knows what we'll each be playing.

anyone ever been told it's your own opinion, let's keep it that way? (being a minor hypocrit, so shh)EQ2 and WoW will both be the same game with very different features, yes it's all let's get bigger better and badder so we can prove to whoever the hell you feel like that "i'm the best!"
so go to your closest PC seller around september, go to the counter, and tell them which game you'd like for them to pick up for you, cause the people who want to play EQ2 will be playing EQ2 and the same for WoW. There might be a few crossovers, but for the people willing to pay almost 30 dollars a month for both games, my condolenses to your social life.
so, in conclusion, who cares. what ever sells more copies will be on top and have better bragging rights

I am not pro EQ or WoW, so I am just asking because you are making some pretty bold statements!?!
The only opinion I made fun of is that one has better graphics than the other argument, because it can ONLY be opinion.
Okay, we do need some facts.
Niether game is finished! It's like comparing two fruits that havn't ripened, you won't get a good judgement.
Why are people flamming each other for stupid reasons? Someone attacked WoW fans because there is focuses on questing (I guess grinding became a sport), or the age of their fan base. I am personally looking foward to EQ2 more than WoW (I recently converted), but this thread is rediculous. There is no point in an argument over two games that arn't finished or trying to come up with facts supporting the unfinished games, because it is all speculation. I'm sure someone will flame me after this with some comment like "well i think u is stuped fore aruing about arguing, so in ur face!" or something equally ignorant, but I don't care, cause I just couldn't sit back and hit my head on my desk any longer. I was starting to get a headache.
I wonder what the game manufacturers are saying about these posts.

I'm more interested in WoW. Looks fun, I like the graphics. in my OPINION they have a colorful and creative edge to them that is more interesting. Was looking forward to Eq2 as well, but more interested in Wow.

Majority of people are sick of this topic. But I'm new and haven't had the chance to speak my mind on the subject yet. And now that I have I'm sick of it as well
I just like to say that both games look good but EQ2 seems like you will need to upgrade your PC alot to play it and I dont have the money for it thats one reason why im aiming towars WOW pluse i like the way they have made the game play i curently play FFxi and i dont like it much, takes to long to get in a party and i cant solo wich sucks since you cant alway party

Sometimes you can't back up every single word with logic
EQ is a solid game. It must be -- look at its success. But I just don't like it; I've tried it a couple of times, and it just doesn't do a thing for me. If I sat down and really worked out the reasons, I'm sure I could come up with a nice logical list...but what it gets down to is that the game just didn't "spark" for me.
It may be that I just need to know there's PvP in a game in order to enjoy developing my character, but even though that's part of it, it isn't everything.
EQ2 will probably be a stellar success. It looks like it deserves to be. WOW will be, too. I know which one I'll be playing, heh, but I'd never be so narrow-minded as to try to claim that one game is "better" than the other.
