Joe is just trying to make this thread look bad, ignore him, and let him NOT go post in other threads and tell them to go to game specific forums.

There is nothing wrong with posting this in the General Forums, and even though your intentions are good I think you have come to the wrong website to seek positive feedback.

I for one like the PVE aspect of it, and how the game is well polished, the pvp is ok and end game raiding is very rich if you are into raiding. Crafting is ok, better than it used to be before TBC anyway. The game is fun and even though there are things I wish it had, as a whole its a pretty good game which has kept me busy for a while. Another thing I like is how the classes are pretty balanced, of course its not perfect because having 100% balanced classes is impossible to do.

Id like to thank you for posting a decent opinion. thank you. By the way for the record. I stopped playing WoW over a mounth ago because i relized it just wasnt the game for me. That doesnt me WoW is a bad game. I think they did many great things with that game even though I really dont care for it. Im just sick of the hating on it.

Ditto on the polish. Blizzard has come a long way since Diablo 1, where bugs were often a big issue (I remember when Diablo 1 and DX3 wouldn't play on friendly terms, lol, and chewed on my Win 95 machine, meh!), but since then they learned fast that squashing bugs is a big part of making a successful product and to be honest that is probably the biggest reason why people still play WoW. They basically make the same-old-same-old, but without the same old bugs (the of repeating Stack overflow and inheritance errors for the nth time tends to get on one's nerves after a while...).

I recently quit WoW for good after hitting 70. I was thinking of voting on graphics at first because I thought it was rather well done. Although I decided to choose mounts just because they had a unique mount for each race and they looked pretty bad ass. The only mounts i really didn't care for in appearance were the standard flying mounts.

Yeah gotta agree with this. One thing WoW has maintained is that constant feeling like nothing was left out or buggy. And if something ever was found buggy, it was usually patched up pretty quick. I'm not talking about players opinions on something being buggy, I'm talking about something not working, or something that seems to be missing.

Ive played wow since closed beta and have left many times and i still find myself returning. I suppose to me the thing that WOW did well at the start was PVP, which left some fond memories of my guild and pvp instances. But unfortunaltey it doesn't take long before pvp starts to get repeditive. I had hoped for world pvp to revitalise this... But anyway i suppose i played their game for the pvp and also i made alot great friends on my server ,despite what people say that wow has a horrible community, i found many mature, funny and interesting people to make my stay in wow that much more enjoyable... I think i have rabbled on to long. haha. But thats my 2cents.

Making so much noise you dont know when to listen.

WoW is so far the greatest epic in the world of mmorpgs, but it's time for a new game to take that place.

Quoted For Truth.   The user interface is extremely smooth.  The raids are fairly creative.  Everything else is pretty mediocre in my opinion.

Where it counts, WoW is still just a grindfest unfortunately.  Might as well chop down trees in runescape to pass the time

I’m generally not a fan of threads that want you to “only post good stuff”.  Yes sometimes the postings about bad stuff gets out of hand, but that hasn’t happened to WoW.

(More often then not the so called harsh treatment WoW gets is really legitimate criticism that is overreacted to by fanbois. If you want a game where the criticism is so harsh it drowns out everything try Vangaurd.  Yes it deserves plenty of criticism on many fronts but there is a group of people so dedicated to bashing the game and the people who still play it it’s impossible to discuss anything else above that noise. WoW discussions usually revolve around people who insist anyone who doesn’t think it’s the best MMO ever are bashing it.)

Despite my reservations, I’ll play along for now, but I do reserve the right to critique commentary I disagree with.

The thing I like about WoW is the smooth control. It does what you want, when you want without lagging or hitching. Just as importantly it does what you expect; control feels right almost all the time, something which isn’t true of most MMO’s.

See, that’s a vague statement that doesn’t really mean anything.

Polish is important, but it’s a catch all term that covers many things. If you can’t identify those things individually then saying “you like it because it’s polished” is no different then saying “you like it because it’s awesome”.

The thing about WoW is that it's well polished, with a good back up of lore and intelligent storyline design. It's a fairly casual-friendly game that allows new gamers to come into the community without getting buttraped by stupid menus.
