Corruption!...I mean spamming

It happened in WoW, it's happening in 2Moons and something tells me it will happen in WHO. I'm talking about "WTS LEET UBER SWORD WITH 260 DPS AND HOLY ENCHANTMENT!!! ONLY 260G,CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!" In almost EVERY MMO I play (and I play alot of them) people always spam the chat box with useless crud that no one wants to hear. Now, I REALLY am looking forward to WHO but I just can't get this spamming thing out of my head. What if the WHO team doesn't notice the seriousness of the problem or what if they just can't stop it in the first place! Anyone have anything to say?

Well I don't know for WHO, but in WAR, there will be a lot of class specific items. So there will be less ''useless spam''. Anyway, if it's in the trade channel I don't see a problem.

From what I have seen/heard/etc. I don't think it will be terribly hard to get equipment so selling it might not be a big problem. Plus I hope you aren't locked into a crafting profession so you can create your own armor/weapons.
As far as the spamming goes I don't really mind it much, but I came from SWG where entering Coronet/mining outpost/theed was met with a wall of spam. Most MMO's now allow you to create different chat tabs so you can filter out general. If you really need to spend time in general that ignore the spammers. Heck a good feature for WAR if that happens would be a temporary ignore feature that blocks that person for 1-2 hours.

There will be spamming. There is no way around it. Unless they stay away from Free Trial and make you earn your ability to send tells by first getting to level 10 or something stupid like that. There WILL be spamming. The only way to eliminate spamming is to have a spam report system and log spam every time you get it then have the GM's cancel the accounts that get logged. Probably not gonna happen......
The reason there is such spamming in certain game sis the way good items are distributed. So it really depends on how its done in WAR.
