Man, does it feel to anyone else that all the Presidential Candidates lately are too similar. They all seem to be saying what they think people want to hear and that is about it. At least the front runners, the people with an actual chance to garner their party's nomination. It has been 20 years since we had a Decent President in Office. I think we are about due for another one...

I don't need another Reagen or Jefferson. After 8 years of "Dubya", I'd settle for a marginally decent President. So far, every candidate except the ones on the fringe (Brownback, Kucinich, Gravel etc.) would be improvements.

Life sucks, buy a helmet.
As usual, Only the ones who have no chance of winning(Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinich) are the ones telling it like it is.
*Interesting factoid I came across while trying to figure out what Gravel's first name was on wikipedia: Apparently this is the first election without incumbents in the primaries since 1928.*
Too bad we couldn't clone Julius Caesar He could kick the Terrorists ass and then we could just stab him in the Senate if he tries to take power. Maybe I'll write him in for president... Be better then voting for one of the phonies that do have a chance of winning. Oh yeah and free bread would be killer

<--- Supports Instant Run-off voting. I think it would give third party candidates a MUCH better chance...

Ron Paul would make such a good president. Too bad there's no chance of him winning.
It just means that people vote for who ever their friends do or who ever their TV tells them too.

I think Bill Richardson or John McKain would be the best presidents under the current situation. The other candidates certainly say what we want to hear, but do they really have the experience to know how to do it? Richardson actually acted as a representative to nations like Iraq during the Clinton administration. McKain just has alot of integrity, and I agree with him in that we shouldn't pull out of Iraq until we know its not as hostile. Pulling out now would be a huge mistake in my opinion.
One thing that struck me was Obama's view on going to War with Pakistan. It made me doubt his integrity and if he truly has the foriegn policy knowledge. I just don't trust Hilary Clinton, there is something ungeniune about her.
If Al Gore runs with Micheal Moore as his running mate. The only one who could possibly get the Democratic Ballot aside from them is Hilary Clinton.
If you keep voting Democrat or Republican, you will keep getting poorer and pay more for health care, education, and energy. Your taxes will have to go UP, whether a Democrat or Republican, to pay the interest on all the loans on the money you borrow from the Middle East and Asia.
The American people are too naive to be a democratic country. No smart democratic people, which General George Washington warned against in his Farewell Address as the FIRST President, would permit the domination of TWO and ONLY two parties.
Best of luck to the USA, without health care, a good public education, and even a high quality of life.
Watch this 8 min video before voting for Hillary.
She committed election fraud to become senator and this video is of her caught red handed.
Oh and learn politics. The Constitution would be a good start.

Make a requirement for presidency a PhD in economics/finance along with a comprehensive exam that involves other topics like recent political issues, foreign policies, military strategy and our government structure.
Let this test be administered freely to PhD's that want to participate and then let the people choose from the ones that pass the exam.
Until then, I'm not going to ever take any presidential candidate seriously.
This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.
How about a Constitutional professor? Ya know that document that they swear to uphold?
Anyways I would rather have a president with good character, knowledge of the Constitution, and with a good judge of character. He doesn't have to be an expert on everything....that's why he has an "administration".

I don't know. I'm not a constitutionalist; while there are some things that I agree with in the constitution I'd rather that it be scrapped and replaced with something to prevent our current situation with all branches working for their own self-interest. I think that the states' sovereignty needs to be taken away completely, so that we can avoid having a bunch of idiots congregate in states and make insipid laws (i.e. Florida, Alabama, etc.).

Nah just as long as he comes from a political-oriented family he should be good. Even better if he is the son of a previous president. Like father like son.
Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
I swear, if you guys vote in Romney, I will never forgive any of you. That's not to just MMORPG.com, but EVERYONE. That guy ditched being governor of his state for the last year of his term setting up to run for presidency. Seems like a nice guy with his priorities in order, eh?
Honestly I think that the Democrats were handed this election on a silver platter by Bush and they have pissed most of the advantage they had away. I wouldn't be suprised to see another Republican voted into office in '08.

Please don't think like this, I beg of you. It doesn't matter if Ron Paul has a chance or not, it's about making an impact. He's the only candidate running willing to limit government power, and return it to the people, and that's a powerful platform. His loyalty is to the Constitution, but that's just a justification for doing it. The point is he WILL try to limit government if elected, and everyone in D.C. knows it.
Getting behind this kind of message isn't a wasted vote. We must start standing up for ourselves, thinking for ourselves, and become willing to act alone. It takes courage to bring about change, and sometimes that courage comes in the form of a vote for the right person at the right time, despite what's popular. More military members past and present have donated individually to Ron Paul than any other candidate, including McCain.
