Interesting how you're talking about expansions and new races and the game is yet to be released

If i knew what any of those races were id definitely pick one.
Yea I dont know almost none of them either. Dont know much of Warhammer 's storyline cept for 40k rts games.

I Would personally prefer to see the vampires. It just seems that they could do a lot more with Vampires.

I think Tomb Kings or Skaven would make good races to come out in the expansion.
Hell, why not throw another group of elves in, wood elves vrs. Beastmen, its not like they havnt broken the IP yet by allying dwarfs with HE.
I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad, The dreams in which I'm dieing are the best I've ever had.
Remember, you have to pick 2. One for order and one for destruction.
Lizardmen and skaven have a bitter relationship so i pick those 2.
Lizardmen for order, skaven for destruction.

Well i just chose lizardmen because they genuinely hate everyone. any1 washes up on shore in the new world and they bite it quick. a 3rd side to the conflict, let's say. Although they'd be mostly defensive, it could open up trans-continental warfare along with naval battles. Plus what kind of crazy loot would you be able to find in the Lizardmen jungles?

If the guys at GW say it's fine then they are allowed to do it. You shouldn't get so over worked by something as trivial as a simple ally pairing.
The Dwarfs and High elves have a huge long standing grudge that almost made each race extinct as is the reason of each races current state of affairs. On top of that, it was during that era when the quakes started, and many many dwarfs died. The high elves call it "war of the beard" and the dwarfs call it "the war of vengance". Every dwarf in existance has the HE in their book of grudges for this war.
Heres how the book of grudges works:
Some one wrongs the dwarf race, a dwarf puts them in the book, the wrong doer or his ancestors pay in blood.
But I really didnt mean to sound that upset, in fact, I'm not upset at all.

You do realize that the Dark Elves and High Elves are not on the same continent as the "Old World" right ?

Vampires - Order
Skaven - Destruction
With the Skaven entering the fray the Order could request some help from some of the few remaining Vampires left... its not like they're evil, more... misunderstood. But I see it happening, rats raiding a Vampires crypt driving him and his minions out where he comes across a town of the Empire also under seige. The Vampire could help the troubled troops, not out of his willingness to help the Empire, but more so to seek revenge against the rats. After the battle is done the Empire commander could then talk to Vampire and agree to ally with them as the rat problem could become a great threat to the Vampire.
Since Vampires want to live forever and all that it'd be in their interest to agree to the temporary alliance, and there you have it, instead of pitting the Vampires and

You do realize that the Vampire Counts are all ( the first Vampires who created other Vampires that is ) spawns of Nagash right? That they pay homage to Nagash who is their creator? Nagaish loathes all living things in Warhammer and seeks to cause the death of all life in the Warhammer world.
This idea is so against GW's IP lore that it would never be allowed by GW.
If anything it's going to be Lizardmen vs Skaven.
Lizardmen are very monolithic and homogeneous in their ways of thinking. If the big great frog like mage Slaan's tell them the "Old Ones" have revealed new information to them that they should help and aide the younger races then they would do so. If it's a part of their master plan to thwart the spawns of Chaos and bring back the "Old Ones" then they would as a race find a way to ally themselves with the younger races such as humans, dwarfs and elves.
As for Skavens they are even easier to introduce into the Destruction side. In fact the Horn Rat bares more then a marked resemblance to Nurgle and Tzeentch in ideology and concept. Skavens are also creations of the taint of Chaos so they are natural enemies with the Lizardmen and the rest of the Order forces.

Nagash actually hates the Vampires because they failed to reinforce him when he invaded the Empire, which he curses them to burn in the rays of the sun. Good reasons for Lizardmen vs Skaven though.
