If I was a betting man, I would say Blizzard will release Starcraft 2 before WoWs new expansion. Why? When Starcraft 2 comes out, many people will leave to try out the game. After 2-3 months, the WoW expansion will be released and the majority of WoW addicts will come back after they've "experienced" Starcraft 2.

If we were talking about World of Starcraft, you may be right, but I doubt many WoW players would quit the game for an RTS.
Well I think they are in a tight spot, Blizzard that is. Between the upcoming expansion for Guild Wars, AOC and Warhammer they have but no choice to present new content. I really think this is just a desperate attempt in trying to keep that so called 9 million intact. The younger kids will buy this but I am not so sure the more mature gamers will stick around.

The question is, do the majority of WoW players understand that? They probably have some idea, but most probably haven't played the games. I highly doubt WoW players would quit the game for a different game, unless it was another MMORPG to get addicted to.Perhaps I just have an overly simplistic view of things, but I think that SC2 will come out before the WoW expansion because they announced SC2 before the next WoW expansion, and TBC was only released in January - 1 expansion a year means the next expansion probably won't be ready till then.

I JUST started playing WoW again and I know personally I'm NOT going to leave WoW for SC2. Not because I don't like it or want to play it but because why not just play both????
that would be ideal but who knows i just want them to take their time with SC.
