Duh, the level based character concept seems so stupid to me, especially in a game like WoW where a single level means a huge difference i character strength.
So now they add more content, but at the same time devalue all the "major" content they previously have added by raising the level cap by (another) 10. It seems so pointless to me, like being stuck in a hamster wheel or having a carrot infront of you that gets replaced every 100 mile by a "new and better" carrot.
The best thing I learned from WoW is that I am never going to play it or any other level based MMORPG again.
I think WoW got a lot of things right, but this raid direction is the wrong direction. Raiding is just a timesink to keep people paying money to repeatedly raid, organize them, and remain guilded.
I would love a really deep PvE game without some but not a major focus on raiding. The end-game in WoW is awful. So far so good for me in EQ 2, though.

Nihilum will kill Arthas first? oh noes, so why am i playing WoW to be seconed best? oh well, atleast the new pvp will grasp me into its nice arms, it will be good ... Remember how they made Eastern/Western plaguelands? the keeps that you just stood in to take them, then if there was 2 people and your just one, the keep will not convert to you.. yea thats really fun.. ok okok, how about alll the TBC world pvp, Yeaa... thats awsome, i love standing in keeps taking towers for PVE buffs, really fun , hmm, yea... but the world pvp, there is no one doing it, and if there is, its prolly just somone thats leveling or a group or losers who doesn't have anything better to do, so, lets rule that out aswell.. OH WAIT, i forgot to mention the new class !! The Deathnoob!! Yaaaay.. Whats that ? you say? Oh yes yes, i mean Deathknight... dont I ? Surely by making Just 1 ill-thought of class they dont realize how much damn noobs will make this class, literally everyone will make one, there is no doubt in my mind, and to do a quest to unlock the class.. Really....?? screw that, screw wow, screw it to hell and screw blizzard aswell, it had its chance to win the players at TBC, and it didn't,...
I really think people should move to age of conan those 18+ ofc, i dont want no spamming little kid idiots in the game ;p, The truth is harsh people, people gave to blizzard, and blizzard didn't give back, its just taken..
I say lets try somthing new and screw blizzard because they are greedy people. Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures or, Even better... Warhammeronline Age of reckoning, now thats somthing to look forward too..

i hope blizz won't mutate like EA or jowood or any others who started in little studios with nice games but after so they are jus t live for money , menagement in' games and hypno ppl to play with their trash ... the burning crusade is not a good expension maybe the lich king story will be.. well , time wil resolve the problem , and will deicide what is the future of blizzard.. i cross my fingers for em !
The sad truth though is that Blizzard is owned by Vivindi Universal which is a massive entertainment entity who, at the end of the day, only really cares about the money. Those millions of copies that BC sold were more or less positive reinforcement for them to say "Ok, make another one exactly like that one."
I've said it before but just like people 'still' say "Luclin / PoP was the x-pac that killed EQ" this could very well be the one people cite as "killing WoW" if it really is just more raiding, max level rep grinds, ignoring any content for lvls 20-50. Don't get me wrong, I still think the core game is solid and fun to play, it's just not one I'd ever suggest buying the x-pacs for if BC is the template they all follow.
The new expansion sounds like fun, I always wanted to go to Northrend. But 10 more levels... I don't think I can take that much grinding, they should have stopped at 60 if you ask me.

What your all forgetting is that WoW's subscription base just keeps growing. The developers take this as they are doing something right if there keeping 9million people (I know its not actually that many people but for sake of argument) satisfied.
If there are still people out there who continue playing the game but hate it then your sad little people who cant have much of a life. As to the other people who still find enjoyment out of WoW then this expansion pack will be right up there alley!
Dont give me a load of bs about "why should we give up after all the time we put in." Its a game at the end of the day and if you dont like it you can easily walk away and think that you got a good run out of it but you've grown tired of it now (like you will of every other game).
lol first Lotro patch was bigger then WOW xpack (book9) and book 10 is even bigger, and all free. 2 big patches of content in 3 months, blizzard made 11 patches in 3 years;)

Ok this is to the people who expected something revolutionary new. Why would you expect that? Wow has been a game that revolves around raiding since it came out, and this formula works for Blizzard, millions of subscribers and they make alot of money, clearly a successful MMO. Now the wow fans, people who have been playing wow for a very long time are Raiders, they have to be, you can be casual all you want but it wont last too long, because the game is raid based, so yeah they will add more raids and pve content because THATS what the game is about and THATS why the players who play love it, they want more of it so Blizzard is giving them more. I dont know why it comes as a shock to people, every x-pack will bring something relatively new but nothing revolutionary, they will increase the lvl cap, add more quests/rewards and instances, thats what people love about wow.

Let me guess you are going to say you don't play the game anymore.....OK.. Why keep up with a game you dislike but that's the same as saying you hate WoW and go out and buy BC. I can see this expansion selling as good as BC and you know you complain now on these forums and WoW forums but you'll be buying it and especially when the new mmo's coming out fall under the category of Hype and Broken promises.....So go log back into WoW and stop complaining about something you know you are playing atm.

DDo is no way a bad game, it is commercially unsuccesful yes, but not bad game ^^ For me its the best on market.

They said something about a new shader effects for ice and stuff, hard to see it on the movie, but i guess there will be reflections and stuff.
