Half the Z board winners from California ?

I couldn't help noticing 5/10 people that won the Zboard contest from the front page were from California...

Considering the whole world, every state and every country  thats a amazing coincidence.

 

I don't think mmorpg.com did anything malicious,  but i can imagine someone making 500 accounts to have a better chance at wining something.

    It would be realy easy to set up such a system.  As long as you have a little time to registerd all the email accounts. Just make a simple browser program that cycles all the cookies once a day. Although I hope they are scanning for duplicate names and addresses.

    I can't believe I actually am one of the winners. I had read an ealrier post about these things when someone else asked if they knew anyone who actually one one of these things. Now I can actually say that yes you can win without rigging or cheating, I am just me so there is the proof  I guess. I wonder why 2 people were disqualified though, false address? more than one acct name maybe? They must check these things somehow to DQ 2 people from the winning.

    I think they got disqualified because they didn't respond within 24 hours.

    yep it will say DQ because they didnt reply in time.

    I don't believe they were DQ due to time. When I responded there was still another person pending adn they had already been DQ'd, must be another reason.

    I think mmorpg.com felt sorry for them considering they will be underwater soon :P
