Is there any kind of referral system in Eve? I'm planning on opening an account and I figure if they have a system where if people get their friends to sign up they benefit from it, then I may as well help someone out.
So how bout it? Is there a system in place like that? If so, message me with the information I will need to enter to give you credit for me joining.

The Buddy Program has been pivotal in bringing new players to EVE Online. In order to thank our current players for their support and to make the program more exciting we have decided to have a monthly raffle. If your buddy becomes an EVE Online subscriber your name will be added to a pool of potential winners. With each new subscriber you increase your chances of winning spectacular in game prizes. Fear not, if you are an active player and your buddy has already signed up; you will be included in the first month’s raffle. From there on the pool will include all active players whose buddies have signed up in the 6 preceding months. Prizes will be given out on the 15th of every month.
Prizes for the month of August.

The buddy accounts have to become full paid accounts for them to count.

Referred a few people but wasn't lucky enough to win anything, luck of the Irish is a LIE! The 14 Day free trial is handy also as it helps get friends addicted to the game too
. Thats how I was caught anyway, over a year ago now.
According to the warning I just got and the thread I worked on for hours which was deleted, you're actually not allowed to use or talk about the referral system on these forums, which is news to me. So yeah, you can find your free trial link via google or something, referrals are banned.

They mailed me a copy of it and said I can repost it without the referral links but I refuse. They deleted good content from their forums, they can live with the consequences of that (not having good content on the forum). It's my intellectual property and I'll take it somewhere else. I'm getting paid £300 for an article similar to it, though more professionally finished of course. I hardly think it's too much to ask that for that kind of effort and quality of content, that I be allowed to make a tiny amount of cash at no cost to anyone else. Rules are rules, I guess.
