Don´t play this game!!!!!!!it will ruin your life

Please step away from it, go and talk with your friends, watch the Super Bowl, play with your son, do something with your life.

Don´t let Everquest 2 take your life, you will regret it, i did.

in your last days of life youll regret the thousands of hours you didn´t spend with your family and friends.

Don´t take this as an attack, im just warning for your health and life time

    Ahh.. the first Everquest. I remember when I sold my kid to pay for the monthly fee, I had to eat my wife for dinner because I didnt want to leave the house just so I could spend more time on EQ.

    Wow, I didn't realise that EQ2 could be so hazardous to your health! I was already planning to stay away from this game, but now I guess I have yet one more reason to do so!

    I'm quite healthy myself. I'm only 16 but I wrestle the 119 sometimes 125 weight class. I'm in good shape and eat healthy. Not to mention I love video games! I played DAOC for almost 3 years... Planetside for a few months (MMOFPS)... and halflife/counterstrike for 5 years hehe. I am playing Lineage 2 now and prolly going to play EQ2 and WOW or atleast try em out. I live a great life with many friends and I'm quite healthy. So long as you dont sit there all day every day with junk food your fine. I have my occassional days devoted to gaming... specially now that its the summer and I have much more free time. But I also have days with no gaming. I know it might be different for those people with families but I'm just giving my two cents. I spend pleanty of time with all my parents and my step sister. We are all happy. MMORPGs have only been my source of fun. Hell, most of the kids these days sit on AIM or act depressed or sit at the mall all day. NOW THEY are losers hehe.

    1. First of all if you are going to "advise" at least use correct grammar.  English is clearly not your first language. 

    2. If you need a philanthropic outlet go start a cause like, "People against abusing hamsters with exercise wheels"

    3. EQ2 isn't even in closed beta yet so you obviously haven't played it, nor experienced its addictive qualities.

    4. Take the nearest crack pipe and inhale DEEPLY...hopefully this is the last post you will create.

    If you honestly think that playing video games is the equivalent of killing yourself, then you should star in the movie "Bubble Boy II".

    Maybe you should start "EQPA" = Everquest Players Anonymous

    Or better yet, go to your local malaysian bookstore and purchase: "English for Dummies"

    Yes, EQ was VERY addicting for me... I admit it.  BUT, it is not that way for everyone.  I had a very happy life while playing and I'm very much looking forward to playing EQ2 when it comes out.  Maybe the guy that started this thread... he was addicted and had problems, but it doesn't happen that way for everyone.  If you let it rule your life... ignore family and friends, do nothing but play on any off time, etc... then sure, one could say you are wasting your life this way.  But you know what... if that is what makes you happy, then how is that a waste of your life?  image

    And no Oracle, I know its posted that something like seisures could happen, but I have NEVER heard of anything like that actually happening.  Some people just get carried away with their opinions and like to freak others out image  LOL

    Same with me, my boyfriend and I met on the original EQ a few years ago fell in love moved in with eachother blaa blaa blaa now plan to play EQ2 side by side so I guess if im wasting my life might as well be with someone I love. Besides its ok to have atleast one addiction. I was extremely addicted to EQ but I did do other stuff, I went to work and did school online on the second computer next to me image

    You only have one life.. if this is something you enjoy then do it.

    debbdoll me and you are so much alike lol. I met my girlfriend in EQ1 in The Overthere! lol. I love her to death and I am moving in once i get the money to drive 2000 miles lol. I'm only 17 and me and her are deeply in love. It's weird how you can meet the person you truely love in a game instead of real life. Anyway I say just play what you enjoy. Heck i'm addicted, but I get bored of EQ every now and then. I have the time of my life when sitting next to the women I truely love while enjoying a game together with her. So I believe it's just another hobby.

    BTW people waste their lives away by watching TV 24/7 or playing console games.. so why you bashing the MMO community. Atleast we are doing something productive and rewarding besides sitting on a lazyboy chair and eating cheesey puffs gaining 50 pounds a day and frying brain cells.. lol

    Anyway to each is their own

    Not everyone is like you diegofrgc, you just think cause it ruind your life it will do the same to others. I played EQ for 3 years and im fine. I have a job, I have friends, I hang out at the movies... Hardly anyone knows i play EQ. You just obviously are blaming the game for your problems because you dont have enought self control to get a life yourself, So follow your own advise and don't waste your time worrying about other people you dont know...

    Well, what he's saying is nonsence but has a bit of reallity. This game is so, so good that we wont be able to stop playng it, and actually i got viced on the game but I'm not playing it, I mean, i don't play the game but I got viced on getting info about the game...

     You expect tons of fans to stop playing something they love that does absolutley no harm to their body, that builds their intelligence, that allows people to socialize with thousands of other people across the world, just because it ruined your life?

    There are far more dangerous things in the world than MMO's. Lots of my friends and I play for maybe 2-3 hours a day, and go to the arcades, go on a bikeride, watch a movie. It's all about control. If you can't do that, it doesn't mean others can't too.
