well i been watching over this game for like a years now but seriously nothing ever been mentioned if this game will be open pvp or not i do understand there the RvR thing but guys admit it that if this game isnt open pvp think about wth how would it be if som kids starting to piss u off ksing n pesting u n there nothing u cant do about it......wth ur gonna let urself go n look for another spot to grind blah blah? no doutb som ppl will do that.Soo wth im asking here is there any1 with any info about if this game will have open pvp=can fight/kill ur own side/race/country, i would realy appreciate it if som1 can hook me up with some info like u could imagine i cant read korean either chiness wish i do tho :S

Well... there is no simple answer to your question really. I might suggest you read the thread "Will there be something similar to siege?" Truth of the matter is... not much information on the PvP system has been released by the Devs... only small, teasing hints. Most talk about PvP and PvE is about 75% speculation and the rest taken from the words of the Devs. However, as the game hasn't made it to the second phase of BETA yet... nothing can be taken for granted at this time.

Can we at least try to use grammar so it isn't a pain to read your post. This is not a game where you have to type fast and some people disregard posts made by people that can't take the time to write well.
Its already been confirmed that Aion does NOT have open PVP. you can NOT attack people of the same race (Angels or demon) as you are.
And by the way, next time you make a post, at least type out your words. I'm being a nice guy today, but usually, if you can't be bothered to type out your question, I can't be bothered to answer it.
Gamelloading is correct here tho open Pvp is ONE solution to a rude player of the same race a better solution is a Block feature.
Also i ahve to say yuo should try and improve your grammer. Altho i do accept the possability that english isant your first language and if this is so then i apologise.

I suddenly had flashbacks of the very first Diablo game, where someone you were cooperating with could turn on you and unload out of the blue! It was oddly funny and frustrating at the same time. Though I'm pretty sure it did have a great part in people desperately going for PK immunity cheats.
FFA PVP might be fun in pure PVP games, but it's obvious there are many hard-to-solve issues with having it on a game where developers are trying to have some PVE - or even RVR - content.
Though if there was a, so to speak, jerk-meter (somehow able to keep record of kill-steals, trains and such) built into the game... and it gave hostility points to a same-faction player as you... and after a certain threshold you could attack him... haha, it would be some way to vent some righteous indignation!
Of course, I can see it pushing some people to kill-steal and such all the time just to provoke more PVP
I'm pretty sure i read the other day on the official website the PvP is to take place in a specific area of the gaming world. I assume that it will be like a battleground sorta area? I do like the idea of the enemy being able to just atk your city, and visa versa but who know what will come.

There will have to be some restrictions on the pvp system, due to the story line. But in all I believe this game will be similar to L2. As in the pvp system, buff and heal mobs.....etc.
I may be wrong but is there not a video of where angels are pvping w/ other angels?
Can you imagine being a perma red in Aion? Would be so fun.

Yes, I have seen every movie I guess and I have seen that to.
Search for Aion on Youtube and you will get great hits. They have Ingame vids now of every charater.
i think it would be great with open pvp. But i think in some places it would be no option for open Player Vs. Player and i think they should make so you only deal half damage against your own race(dont know if its already done). I believe that the angel vs. angel video is a video of a duel with an Assassin Vs. A Fighter. this game is so Great! i think they should have open PvP but at the terms i wrote.
It's a serious problem that people just picks games and judges them badly because of lack of evidence and giving them 1/10 points just because they want to see their favorite mmo' on higher rated than this one, somebody said this game looks exactly like L2 in everything, like graphics and gameplay because he hates NCsoft and he only saw the screenshots on this site. HOW can he be so shallow!!!!!

Anyhow, who thinks this game is 1/10?? its 9/10, really! a 1/10 game has 2D Square graphic and almost not even a town in the game with 2 ppl at each server. i get so frustrated at those who misjudges this game, This is an -NCsoft Austin - NCsoft asia- game which wont be like lineage at all except for the high-detailed graphic(which is better than lineage). I really wonder what's wrong with their brains or eyes! they dont know how great this game really is with its high-detailed graphic and unreal fantasy and dream-like environment which still is so real (not at all like World of warcraft! cow-men and 2 sorts of midgets, wtf

Aion: The Tower Of Eternity™ has fantastic sound-effects and music too with nice looking magic effects! Well designed foes and creatures. I really hope thay have as good service as the service in GW! Lets hope they dont shut down the whole game for hours which really dosn't give anything good and the Downloads are SO annoying, and for what? NOTHING!
This game is the best and most brilliant one i will ever write about at this website
. so.. ...fantastic! NCsoft is making their best game ever, i hope they know that and i really hope they will take time to fix bugs and fix the little details of the game before the release. When i get this game i will probably fall to the ground drooling and twitching because of an overdose of the Happiness/Joy chemical released.

I think Aion will definately change PVP ideas throughout the Beta's for Customer satisfaction,
so dont worry, If you suggest it during BEta, you might as well get it in the real release.!
If NCsoft really stated there will be NO open PvP, i really hope there is a way to change their mind on that subject. Why anyone would make a game without it beats me. Are there really any good reasons to exclude this part from a mmorpg? I cant think of any atleast.
I am really looking forward to Aion and i´m sure i will play the game to some extent no matter what they decide upon this matter. But without Open PvP we will miss out on all the drama,politics,hate and other things that goes along with it. And this is what really grabs u or atleast me. Sure there will be some epic battles in the RvR, but i rather have the freedom to kill some scumbag who annoys me, then kill some "darkie" or "whitey" becuz i´ve been told they are my enemys. Of course all my views on PvP are deeply coloured from Lineage 2, but i was really hoping for NCsoft to give me the L2 pvp in a whole new package.

As an ex Lineage2 player I agree with you 100%. It will depress me in many ways if I cant just kill some **** who is bugging me.
As it tends to be the hardcores who are more interested in this feature... And as Aion has been stated to be for casuals... I want to say wait for Lineage3, but it won't be released until 2011 (was it?)...
Lol yeah ummm Im gonna have to go and disagree with you on this. They never said Aion is for the more casuals lol Im not sure how they exactly put this but they said it is for both kinds of players hardcore and casual.
Also this is why people give games a bad hype score...because they are too lazy to go and actually find out info themselves and just put their "opinion" or "assumption" on the game.
I've read plenty...and they've EXPLICITLY said that Aion is aimed more at the casuals. (I'm not wasting my time to look that up again, you can do that yourself...)
unless you're misunderstanding my definition of hardcore... hardcore being players with more time investment...
Ok, no i misunderstood this whole thing. They said its not going to be as grind oriented i think...so the casual players can still get high lvl etc. with only putting little time in.
I also thought u were stating that their target consumer was the casual crowd. In other words this game, in order to "succeed", you don't need to put 90 hours a week into your charactor.
sorry for the confusion...ive just been kinda frustrated with some of the hype comments ie. "just another asian grind fest" "anything Asian isnt worth playing" makes me

i dont think it is. I recall playing it at E3 and if I wanted to PK someone I had to send the other guy a duel request. but that was E3 awhile basck they can change the rules anyday to their liking surely

It would be great to have open Pvp, But ofcoarse, there should be penalties for killing somone randomly... because then it would be kept under controle as well..!
