I havnt really been lookin at EQ 2 so I might be wrong on this but if EQ 2 is anything like the first EQ than it wont be worth playing, EQ was fun but all you did was hunt, all the artisan skills sucked, and hunting is just boring, What I have read about WOW is that there is a highly extensive system of artisan skills and you dont really have to hunt if you dont want to (even that is the point of the game War-Craft) dunno I guess what im gettin at is that if I had the choice I would Choose WOW over EQ 2

It'll be GW for me. Neither WoW nor EQ2 are worthy of any consideration in my book. Just another couple of cookie cutters banking off of their established names, while bringing no real innovation or fun. Blizzard isn't the same(good) company it used to be. Several of the people who made Blizzard the good company it used to be are no ArenaNet. Now Blizz is but a hollow shell of its former glory, and just a corporate whore for Vivendi. Then there's SoE, which is largely crap too. Just a couple lame companies coming out with yet another wave of lame rental cookie cutters. GW is pretty much the only game I've had to look forward to in a long time.
If I had to choose between the two rentals, I suppose I'd go for WoW. But my opinion of that is still just about as low as that of EQ2, so it doesn't much matter really.
I wont play either of them myself unless they change and start offering an interesting ''High End''.
I was waiting for UXO...Can wait for D&D online now...
I cant care less about community, I ''may'' bring my friends and play with them, strangers or solo, and no matter how bad a community is, there is always sweet nice players to meet. I will play on an empty server as well as on the most crowded server ever, others players are an edge to the game, not a must, and players like me eventually can bring more players, as players attract players. Players like me dont really build a community althought, we just attract some players, if they care for a community, they can build it, and I can live beside it and contribute a little to it(by grouping and talking mostly). When players start been a burden more then an edge(they kill the named I was hoping to hunt, they expect me to do this or that) is when I leave them and wish the game was without them, another player have no right to be a FLAW to me in any form, and the game need to understand that(much more involving then a PvE blue server status).

i have zero interest in WoW, never really did, and after hearing a few friends reviews of it so far its down to zero. never been an eq fan, wont play that either.
personally, im waiting for dragon empires and tabula rasa.
I cannot play EQ and now EQII because I am an AC1 and AC2 players thus it's against my beliefs. Also I play the Age of Empires series of games so I dislike the Starcraft and Warcraft franchises.
WoW im definitely for sure buying. EQ2 is iffy hopefully ill get accepted into the beta. Tabula Rasa however looks sweet. I want them to come out with beta apps already so i can sign up.

I've actualy got my eyes on WoW probably gona buy it on release date. EQ2 however doesn't light my fuse. Its not that it is a bad game it just doesn't give me the feeling that I like getting out of my MMORPG's. WoW doesn't truly give this feeling either but it comes pretty close to it.
I've been playing PvE heavy-level grind games since 1979.I'm not non-conformist, i'm just waiting for the game developers to realize that the current MMORPG template is boring and the whole system needs a massive overhaul.I'll avoid WoW and EQ2 like the plague, i'm sure MMORPG newbies will have lots of fun with them as i had with UO/EQ/DAOC/AO.Its a phase you go through, i guess.
Also, there seems to be a generation gap between older gamers, who want game content and younger gamers who want eye-candy.Sure, a good game has heaps of both but i find games like EQ2 don't really add anything new or refreshing 'cept for the graphics.
I'll stick to grind free MMORPG's like EVE for now.
I will be playing eqII PROBABLy..... if they ever take out a game card... but.. I am NEVER going to stop playing FFXI for everquest or WoW.... not in this lifetime
