Whatever happened to hero classes in WoW?

does anyone know whatever happened to the hero classes in WoW, b/c everything that has been talked about we've at least seen a glimpse of, but hero classes are freaking nada, no blips on the radar.
if you could tell me anything i've heard i would be grateful
