Yeah, thats one persons version. The majority of players seem to be enjoying it. I know I love the new Rikti look and the new Vanguard group.
And don't even complain about lag during invasions. You can do invasions just fine, with no lag, if you..........*drum roll*....... DON'T BUNCH UP!!! I swear every time a invasion is announced every player goes to the same spot. Any time you get 90-100 toons in one spot its gonna lag. Then add powers and NPCs?? Think about it people
True about that, I only lag when a lot of other players are near me. Otherwise I'm pretty fine with it, I like the issue. And well new AT will probably come in time. Those just take a bit longer to implement and balance them out to the rest.

It is my humble opinion that there should be at least one new powerset with every Issue. New AT powersets are far and away what the players are crying for most, and in spite of Devs saying it takes alot of time and effort to create them, i don't think one an issue is too much to ask. Thats not to say wings, inventions, story arcs, etc aren't nice however. They're just not what we players most want to see.
I was under the impression this game was going somewhere which is why I subscribed to it while I was waiting for a new game to come out, they have not actually given anything new there was a bunch of archetypes and powers that I saw were being promised which would have kept me playing, but that's kind of just done it for me. This game has loads of potential but I'm not going to spend money on a developer that's not willing to make things that make the game more fun for everyone, I am not interested in grinding that has no incentive which in my view is literally what this game is. The character customization in this game was the best I'd come across since pre-cu SWG but now after creating characters I see that all there is after that is a bunch of silly enhancements which are really just icons on a screen that increase your characters stats a little and then you have about eight costume pieces to collect.... It's sad, really sad because they had clearly spent a lot of time on the graphics of this game and the amount of weapons and powers the NPC's have could have been used to make characters more fun to play.
Sorry guys, but I believe the OP has a point and I HAVE found it to be very laggy whenever a Rikti invasion comes, it's nothing to do with my connection either, I just wish they'd have given this game more thought.

ye si know it get somwhat laggy when the riki come it happens to me even when i am on a mission on my own, Yes other AT's would be nice like a girl MM with Girl pets for the ladies out their but come on guys yes it does take time to get these things implemented also you have the fact the new AT's also need to be made avalible to long term gamers first as a incentif such as opens at lvl 40 or somthing. how about a dual class for those who have maxed the lvl 50 or somthing like that.
for those of you that do say all the time new AT's please i understand but try and be patient we all have to be pleased and we dont know whats coming around the corner .
Maybe they could set up some news feed back on this site for intended release's so we can have an idea about what is coming
lag....during rikti invasion.... wtf, might be you guys are having graphic lag because I didn't lag one sec and I only fought rikti with more then 40 toons around me. Try setting you graphics a bit down during invasion!
I don't have any lag either (unless i'm downloading... linux.. lots of linux >_>) and i play on the US servers from EU. And as for issue 10, it wasn't to add content as such they made it, they made it to further the story.. yes, the story, unlike many other MMOs out there, where the story more or less stands still.

The 'lag' that folks are referring to is actually server lag -- not client-side.
Changing graphics will help with whatever client-side issues you do have, but will not impact the server side one iota (nil). The server lag can be up to 1 or 2 seconds between actions. Really an issue. It does not always happen it seems, but it happens quite often and whole teams (and the NPCs their fighting stop moving / attacking / damaging / clearing action timers for reuse during this time.
That's server lag pure and simple.
Meh... I shut all my crap off and I have 0 lag and i play on freedom in peek times...but to each there own. Oh also I run 3 machines at the same time, off the same internet connection as I have 4 accts....oh oh oh sometimes I run my 3rd machine windowed so I have all 4 accts running. "Wow 4 games and still no lag this guy must be lying!"
and that's why when lag hits, your teammates speak up and say "yeah, i"m getting too"
and when you mention it once in broadcast, you are guaranteed to get a few people that will confirm they are having the same issue. A few seconds or minutes later, it's gone.
oh oh oh, and it's a miracle the lag goes away after the invasion is done or you enter a mission. Yep, they must be installing viruses and changing settings to the maximum during that session of play just so they can post they have lag. It is so amazing what computers can do while I'm playing CoX. I don't have to open emails with viruses, install programs, change any settings(you know all that stuff that COULD affect your performance) yet all that spam, corrupt files and settings change automatically so I get great performance in an instance yet during an invasion they magically change.
Oh oh oh, and I can have another computer running on the same Internet connection....when I get bad performance, the other computer doesn't affect it......when I get good performance, the other computer doesn't affect it.

Anyways, the game is still playable 95% of the time. I've just come to expect some performance issues after each new Issue. They always seem to get better after a month or two. Would I like to maintain my 60-70fps on my X2 4400, 795GT 512Mb, 2Gb DDR400 rig all the time? Of course, but that is not realistic of this game. Sometimes performance drops with only 3 or 4 people around you during an invasion, sometimes it doesn't. It holds together enough to keep the immersion. When performance consistently interrupts the immersion then I will look elsewhere. /shrug
The problem hear is that everyone is getting stuck on the lag issue, just enjoy the game it happens and according to some people they dont get it thats great for them. i enjoy the game so will play no matter what
Lets discuse some other issue
like what do you think of the rikti and how often do you think the invasions should happen on the differant types and do you think we shold be able to go to the heros places and kick hero buts with the rikti
